The day I found Find a Grave, I was on a grave hunting trip to Pennsylvania, dragging my long-suffering husband, John, with me while I took hundreds of digital photos of family graves! I also have a shoebox sized file box of "analog" photos, as well as records of other burials in places I have never visited! Since then, I have uploaded all my new photos and scanned most of my old ones! It's been a labor of love. Occasionally, I still find entries I've made that contain a note saying I plan to scan and upload a photo at a later time, if you see one of these, please drop me a note reminding me to do so. Obviously I have missed it.|
I have been working on my family history since 1996, and most of my contributions are my own dead relatives, but I've always loved cemeteries, and sometimes I think my obsession with genealogy is just an excuse to walk thru old graveyards!
I also have (or can scan) better copies of most of the grave photographs that I have posted here. Please email me if you would like me to send you a larger copy!
I'm also on Twitter & Facebook now if anyone is interested!
Also feel free to contact me with corrections or additions to the info I've posted or to request transfers of your relatives memorials. I have recently changed the email address that I use for Find a Grave due to problems with AOL blocking the notifications from this site. You can contact me at my gmail account, or at my AOL address:
I'm going to say right here that I ALWAYS give permission for people to use my FaG photos for your own research or to share elsewhere for genealogy or other research related websites, but I would really appreciate a note attached to the file saying where you found the pictures! I have started seeing a lot of the photos I've uploaded here shared on Ancestry.com without attribution. I WANT to share, but it bothers me that so many people are using pictures without bothering to say where they got them!
I love the automatic correction options and I try to check several times a week for new edits! I also tried the Photo Transcription option for the first time recently and loved how easy it made it to add several photos quickly!
Don't be afraid to ask for transfers of any of your family graves I might have entered. My personal policy is much more liberal than the official Find a Grave policy. Generally, I'll transfer anyone who is not a close relative to me!

|Carletta Bush||Frederick W. Bush family|
I am looking for descendants of Frederick W. Bush (born 1829) Frederick, his wife, and children are buried in west Finley Cemetery.
My husband and I have been researching Henry H. Bush (1928-1875) of Greene and Washington Counties in PA. We believe that Frederick was his brother.

|Rose McDaid||About McDaid Family|
You don't know me but my name is Rose McDaid and I am the granddaughter of Robert Stanley McDaid who was the son of Homer Earl McDaid and Mary Alice Lamberson. Homer Earl McDaid was the son of Samual S McDaid and Mary Elizibeth Wolfe. My great grandfather Homer was the brother to your great grandmother Lilly May McDaid who married George Andrew Atkinson. I found you on here and I have treid to contact you on facebook but they have that request thing now and I am not sure it went through. I have just recently stated doing Genealogy and I am looking for family members on my fathers side. I was wondering what information and photos you may have on the McDaid line. I also have old family photos that I am more than happy to share with you as well and documents. I also started a private family group on facebook and would like to have you a part of it if you would be interested.
I hope to hear back from you.

|Diane Gravlee||Boot Hill|
I sent the last emails for this cemetery this afternoon. Thanks so much for adding the info to each one.
|Diane Gravlee||RE: Boot Hill!|
Not a problem; I'll send another batch in the next day or so.

Thanks for doing the first 3 bios. I'll send 4 more tonight. Let me know when those are done and I'll send the next batch.

I could definitely type out the bios from the brochure and I would do it as an edit "other", so that the memorial would be right there to click on and all you would have to do is copy and paste it in. How does that sound? It will take me several weeks to do by doing a few at a time, but the end result will be excellent. And besides you wouldn't want them all at once either. So I'll do a few every few nights. Let me know that you feel this will work for you.
