I've been researching my family tree and those of others for about 35 years. I taught genealogy classes for several years while living in Colorado Springs and learned from one of the best, my mentor Bonnie.

I love going to cemeteries and marveling at the older headstones each one having a distinctive character to it much like the memory of the person for which it honors.

Keeping in mind that genealogy is not an exact science there is always room for improvements. If someone has any addition to a memorial that I have posted, please use the Edit tab for additions, corrections and relative transfer requests.

As requested by Find-A-Grave, I DO NOT add whole obits, but just the pertinent information that will help descendants in the future with names, dates, places, etc.

Also, if there are any photos of your loved ones that you would like for your family album, please feel free to copy. However, please do NOT copy my photos to Ancestry.com, FamilySearch.org or any other websites without giving me credit. These are personal family photos. Simply indicate "© 2010 Connie Gilliard on FindAGrave.com".
