Bio and Links
Bio Photo Because of fires, floods and loss, I started photographing all the markers in Jackson Co Michigan in Nov 2006. We've discovered the 1927 DAR WPA cemetery transcription project didn't have anyone actually walk any of the county cemeteries. They obtained the information from cemetery records, church records and neighbors. Fortunately for all of us this included records of those graves with no markers. Most of the early cemetery records have perished along with some of the cemeteries. Hopefully, we will be able to provide info for descendants of the early/current residents of Jackson County Michigan. By using census, marriage, death and local history information we try to make our entries as complete as possible. Email with info on your ancestors and we'll add them to any of our records. We'll be happy to help you in your search.

Currently, I'm working on adding maiden names to as many memorials as possible.

As of 22 Aug 2009 Jackson Co FAG volunteers have 66,501 burials recorded, by Jan 2010 72,323 burials and by Jan 2013 101,483 burials. Many of the cemeteries have been completed with pics.

Please request edits, corrections & transfers thru the SAC tab (edit tab on the memorial page) and not here on the home page. Remember to check the new "edit" tab on your own homepage to see the corrections/additions sent to you.

Thanks to all those FAGer's who have trusted me to take care of their memorials and have transferred their memorials over to me while they take a leave from findagrave.

Not sure why my email disappeared from the contact info:

Ada Ann Clark Cooper

Thank you! You have done wonderful work photographing my ancestors' places of rest. I was wondering if you had some advice on Ada Ann's memorial. I have many pictures of her, but the sites says that the picture-hosting limit is reached. Is there a way to post her picture?

Reasner VS Reasoner #153385977
Hi Deb,
I have Reasners in my family tree, so I am aware that there are two spellings out there. Even within my line! Thank you for letting me know the cemetery records differ from the death certificates. I put a note on both profiles. Hopefully descendants will search both spellings to find their ancestors. Thank you for taking the time to note this issue.

Edith Bush Croninger
The change in the year on her date of death to 1964 was probably a good reason as to why I did not locate her obituary in the Jackson Citizen Patriot at the Jackson Library several years ago. If you get the chance when you visit the library, please look this one up.

Catherine Young, Memorial # 17082227
I've been looking for Catherine for quite sometime now and the information all fell together over the past 12 hours with help from Findagrave. Catherine is the daughter of Joseph Efner and Ruth Doty from N.Y. Supposedly her father also died in Jackson, Michigan. Her mother was a descendant of Edward Doty who came on the Mayflower. A reference to her with the note that she married (blank) Young; and lived in Jackson, Michigan, can be found in the book, The Doty-Doten Family in America. It can be accessed through the card catalog at Ancestry or probably on-line. If you have Ancestry, here is a link on my Blean tree:

RE: Isaac Corwin
Thanks, Deb!

I really appreciate all you do on find-a-grave! NY and MI have such a strong family connection, and it's great to find that so many of the descendants of folks I'm working on in NY already have memorials in MI, thanks to you and some other very dedicated volunteers.

Take care.
