Well I guess that makes us cousins, then! And how wonderful that you are approaching another birthday!! Do you mind if I ask how you fit in the family tree? My great-grandmother, Susanna Veanellie Smith Lance, was the daughter of James Monerow Smith, son of Rolla and Susanna Robinson Smith. Susie's daughter, Bessie Vea Lance Hitt, was my maternal grandmother. If she were still living, she would be 96 so I wonder if you knew her?
I totally understand not wanting to transfer the memorials and would only ask if someone in your family isn't going to manage them when you no longer can, I'd love to be able to take that over at that time. The cemetery and the reunion every May was always very important to my grandmother. And since she was so important to me, I'd consider it an honor.
And I also totally understand being related to half of Tallahatchie county! My grandfather's family was from Calhoun County and my mother-in-laws family was from Coffeeville. I've always said that half the family was in law enforcement and the other half was running from them. Haha
Do you have a family tree on Ancestry? I'd love to fill in any gaps in my tree that you might have the info for. My mother and I worked on it years ago and now I have picked it up again. She can no longer see well so figuring out who people are in photos if they aren't marked is a challenge.
Thank you for creating the memorials. It is such a valuable tool to have!

Hello! I was wondering if you are related to anyone in the memorials created for Smith Cemetery in Cascilla? If not, since this is a family cemetery they are all related to me in some way. I'm not sure what all is involved in transferring management of memorials or a whole cemetery but if it is easy to do, would you be willing to transfer it to me. If this is family for you as well, then I understand if you want to keep it.
Thanks so much,
