Ruth-Ellen Burack Flanagan
RE: Phillip Eisenberg
I can find the original photo and I can translate it or get help to translate it. Find A Grave doesn't have that as an option. Are you related? Do you have a DOB and more information about his parents?

RE: Joseph West
It's my pleasure, Jueanne, or rather... a mission. I have a good camera and take my time to photograph the final resting place of those whose families or friends or even historians and genealogists who show their interest.

RE: Margaret Schlenck King
Hi Jeanne,

Marguerite, or Margaretta, appears on the 1860 census, aged 1, in the home of her parents, in Brookville, Franklin, Indiana. When the 1870 census was taken, the family had moved to Oxford, Butler, Ohio, and the record showed that the first five children, including her, were all born in Indiana, and that the sixth child, Robert, was born in Ohio in 1868. There is nothing to indicate that her parents resided in Ohio at the time of her birth as her brother Gustavus was born in Indiana as well the year before.

As for her parents, they remained and died in Oxford, Ohio and are buried there, in the Oxford Cemetery, and Marguerite is linked to them on her memorial.

Hope that helps.

You are most welcome.

RE: Augusta Brooks
apologies--I don't know if his given name was Russell Franklin or Franklin Russell. The death certificate names Russell and the Brooks genealogy lists Franklin but the dates are the same.

Augusta's parents were William G Brooks (75944474) and Liza Babcock (75944481).

I believe that she may be buried in Patchogue NY but that is pure speculation on my part. In her brother Fletcher's obituary (Middletown Times Herald), she is listed as living in Patchogue--her daughter Elizabeth is buried in Patchogue.

I no longer have ready access to the Brooks genealogy but I think you'll find it invaluable as it contains much of the Bull genealogy. The author (Phebe Brooks Kiger) was an active DAR member.

RE: Augusta Brooks
I just updated the bio--she was actually his second wife. Her name appears on her son Russell's death certificate as well as in the Brooks genealogy. I've listed the source on the memorial. Is this her branch of the Bull family? There are several Bull family researchers. More info is available at the Orange County Genealogy Society in Goshen, NY.

with kind regards.

Bernard McGrath
Hello, Jeanne. Are you a descendant of Bernard McGrath? If so, we are cousins. I don't see a way to send you a private message, but you can get in touch with me through this public profile I had made of Bernard.
I look forward to hearing from you.

RE: Ruth Carter Corkran

You are most welcome for the photo. Also posted one of Ruth's husband -- I try to get as many family members I can if they are together or nearby. Yes, it's interesting how we can find important people as our ancestors! I also found that so many of my ancestors were soldiers in the Revolutionary War and later the Civil War. Makes you think how much people gave to give us the freedoms we have today. Well, happy hunting and if you need any more help in the Los Angeles area, just let me know.
