John James Armstrong was born in Amarillo, Potter County, TX, the son of David Clinton and Anna Marie (Goranson) Armstrong. He was reared on the family farm out from Panhandle, Carson County, TX. John graduated from Panhandle High School and The University of Texas at Austin with a BS degree in Pharmacy. He resided in MD and AL as a pharmacist for the U.S. Public Health Service. He resigned his commission and returned to Greenville, TX, where for a year he pursued a MS degree in computer science becoming a graduate school dropout. He continued his pharmacist career with McGaughey, Revco, Eckerd, and Super 1 Foods & Discount Pharmacy|
His genealogy interest was inspired by an aunt, Gladys Mae Armstrong (1900-1991), in the late 1970's. From there the interest has grown more into assisting others in their research where he can rather than doing research on his family. His particular interest is in newspaper indexation as shown in a way with the Website address. The photo is from a few years back... To God be the Glory, Great Things He Has Done!

The data has gotten bigger than my friend, Max, the designer planned so updates are being done only via the date feature and not via the topic entries. Until this is resolved, one might find it helpful to Google the following: huntnews.net "target" where target is some text you seek.
I apologize for the search not working as you might have expected or found useful in the past.

Thank you, John, for the memorial on Robert A. Harris, my 1st cousin twice removed. There is a typo in the death certificate in his mother's name: Robert's mother's name is Malinda, not Matilda. I have sent a link request for the memorial to be linked to his mother. Ann Harris Humble
