Bio Photo I have been doing Genealogy research for over 10 years now. I was born and raised in Oregon, but have resided in Virginia for 22 years now. I enjoy helping others find their loved ones in Jamestown, Yorktown, Colonial Williamsburg as they are at my doorstep. I believe God's promise John 3:16; For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life. God bless everyone and happy hunting.

RE:Richard Lafayette Nation #7150674
Good Morning,

I saw the flower and note you left on the memorial of Richard L. Nations where you referred to him as your uncle. I am looking for information on his sisters.
Richard was the son of Nancy Virginia Granberry Nations and John Carroll Nations. Nancy was the daughter of William Stafford Granberry and Harriet Pope. William Stafford was the brother of my great great-grandfather, Simeon Travis Granberry.
His sisters were Ruby, May, Zulekie, and Bristy (Brister) according to Census Records. Do you have any information on the sisters that you are willing to share? Any information will be appreciated. Please, leave me a public message with your response.

Funny. But I really thank you for looking. I have found some errors in the national cemetery by my house. They have a roster that says they are buried there but no one can find them. Thanks again

I have no idea what happened. It does not show up on my findagrave page either. Wonder if it is because I made the request from and not my Find A Grave page. I dont know what to tell you. Looks like if someone tried to find it, they would say so.

John and Katherine Richards
I'm sorry, I should have specified the John Richards and wife Katherine buried in Stark County Ohio, where you left a "flower" and message that you were a descendant of theirs.

John and Katherine Richards
Hi Debra. Are the John and Katherine Richards couple originally from Maryland? Do you know who John's father was? I am wondering if he is a part of my Richards clan from Carroll County Maryland.

RE: John and Rachel Fergus
You must interpret the documents for yourself. However, I have seen errors on "official" documents.

I would argue that the consistency of successive censuses is compelling evidence. Adelia is not on the 1850 census. James and Rachel list their children in the same order in 1860 and 1870. In 1880 Adelia gives her age as 27. On the 1900 census, Adelia lists herself as a widow, age 48 with a birthday of May 1852. I think it is very unlikely that her age is incorrect on every census from 1860 to 1900.

RE: John and Rachel Fergus
Hello Debra,

Thank you for linking Adelia to her parents, John and Rachel Fergus.

As to her age, all I can say is the 1860 census gives her age as 7 years old, the 1870 census - 16 years old, and the 1880 census - 27 years old. That would indicate a birth year of about 1853.

Barber, Donald Eugene
His grave is not located in Lemoore Cemetery.
He is located in Grangeville Cemetery (about 4 miles away) in Sec M-Blk 6- Lot 10-Grave 16. If you will list a memorial for Grangeville, I would be happy to look it up for you next time I am out there.
