I am a retired Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force retiring after 20 years on 1 Oct 1982. I retired also from the U.S. Postal Service on 1 Jun 2006. My wife Louise Beckham and I have been working on the Beckham family tree for over 40 years and have compliled a large data base with over 17,000 pages of family information. Infomation includes Beckham Families in Australia and England that dates back to the early 1300s. We also have compiled the Heidlebaugh Family back to 1623 in Germany. My wife and I have catalogued more than 600 cemeteries and have taken over 20,000 photos.|

|Paula (Glover) Newton||re: Parent of Geo. W. Bodine|
James Bodine did not marry Elizabeth McAnally until 1838. He was first married to Elizabeth Wilson. There is proof of the marriage to Elizabeth McAnally. George Washington Bodine was born in 1837 which would make him the son of James Bodine and first wife Elizabeth Wilson. I have not proven the marriage between Bodine and Wilson but it is listed on the death record of George's brother Andrew Jackson Bodine. Even if the name of the first wife is erroneous, Elizabeth McAnally would not be the mother of George Washington Bodine.
