|I am now obsessed with this ancestry stuff! I have been an avid fan of Findagrave for about 6 years. However, I did not sign up until I decided to post some of my photos. I live in Huntsville, AL but grew up in Scottsboro, AL. I guess you can say that I specialize in Jackson Co., AL cemeteries. My relatives and my husband's relatives are scattered throughout Jackson Co. (Scottsboro, Woodville, Stevenson, etc). Please let me know if you need a photo and I will be glad to try to get it. I do spend most of my weekends in some cemetery - even multiple cemeteries !! By the way, please feel free to use my cemetery photos of any of your friends and/or family. I take them for a reason. That reason is so the person who finds the photo is thrilled to see it just like I was when I found my first photo on Findagrave. Credit given for the photo would be appreciated.|

Reference memorial 23359949. The two photos you added are contradictory to each other. One says 2LT (which he was), and the other says PVT. Can you tell me where the PVT stone is located? We are confused as to why there would be a footstone saying PVT instead of 2LT.
I couldn't find a listing for George in Bethel Cemetery which was why I had posted his details there, the Southern Deaths Records(listing of burials pre1965) has him buried there. It, of course, could be wrong. Is he a family member? If so I have no problem in transferring him to a family member, he isn't part of my family.
I came across his death details when doing some research for one of my own, I checked and when I didn't find him listed I then posted his details.
I really hate when someone is "forgotten" lost to time, no family left or busy with their lives. So that when I come across such folks and can't find them listed in a cemetery, I post them using the details from papers or books. I do try and check but in some cases there just isn't enough information.
Thank you for the photo! It is odd that there is still no grass on that plot.

Thank you for your response to my photo request. I understand there is not a permanent stone, but what I really would like is a picture that is not of the fresh grave. If you are out that way again, perhaps you will consider taking a new picture. Thank you for your help on Find A Grave!

No, at least I don't think so. I hit the submit tab before I realized what I had done. I got the info from cemetery records and am trying to add it as I get the time. Thanks for catching my mistake.

Thanks for the update. I have changed the cemetery on his memorial & copied the headstone picture. I also asked that the memorial holder delete her memorial.

Hi, I only placed the memorial - others added the pictures. You would have to write to them to remove the picture.

Thank you so much for taking the time to take the photos of their headstone, I appreciate you so much.
