I find that members think I should spend all day researching when they must have the information right on hand as they send the edits. I ask myself, how else would they know to send them.
Nearly every day I have been sent links to parents of my memorials that have NOT been correct. I am going to strictly adhere to my statement below.
Please send Proof in a Document form like a transcription from Ancestry or FamilySearch for all edits or requests if you want them to be accepted. If you are using information from another memorial as perhaps in an obit, please refer to which person. Many people are citing FAG as a genealogical reference and the information added and links need to be correct. I certainly hear about it when they are not.
Please do not assume that I have access to Ancestry and send links to Ancestry as proof since I do not have a subscription to Ancestry.
Any written information needed to be added to a memorial that I manage can be sent through the SAC provision after clicking on the edit tab.
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives only within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Non-direct relatives relatives such as aunts, uncles, cousins and beyond are not required transfers. Those are the FAG guidelines and I follow them. I need PROOF to transfer.
