My father's passing has renewed my interest in family history.|
I take lots of photos of headstones at a cemetery close to my home. I'm not related to anyone there. I'm happy and eager to transfer those memorials. enjoy doing the work and feel it's a blessing if it helps anyone else.
I'm partial to relatives but otherwise if I've created a memorial that interest you just let me know and I'm happy to transfer!

Thank you for the kind transfer and all your work on this site.

No documentation - What I found is just the name associated with the two boys.
The only documents I find on the boys is their marriages to the two Purviance sisters.
If I come across anything, I will surely let you know!
|Robin Knowles Miner||RE: Thomas Lee Chappell|
I know that he MUST be related in some way to my chappell line, but because I can't find out who John Chappell married (Allen and Jesse Franklins' daddy), there is no way to connect them!
My great grandma was Emma Elizabeth Chappell Entrekin, the daughter of Joseph Benjamin Chappell and Louisa Jane Shaddox. Maybe that missing link will surface one day!
Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for all the edits and links for the Fletchers and Ellis' Danelia!
I'd be happy to take over management of your Nelms profiles in the Chattanooga Memorial Cemetery.
I appreciated your efforts in the cemetery. I have a lot of family here. I've been to the cemetery once about two years ago and am planning a return trip in about two weeks.

I see that you added most of the Chappell names here. I am just learning about my Chappell family. My G G Grandmother was Emma Chappell who married Charles Asbury Entrekin. I don't know if this branch is related, but I am listing them anyway!
Question... Is this the Thomas Lee Chappell that first married Madoria "Dora" on 26 June 1887 in Haralson County, GA? The children you did not link to Martha are listed as hers in this:
United States Census, 1900," Militia District 714, Carrolton (south part) Carrolton town, Carroll, Georgia, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 7, sheet 22A, family 396
Household Role Sex Age Birthplace
Thomas Chappell Head M 41 Georgia
Madora Chappell Wife F 32 Georgia
Luella Chappell Daughter F 12 Georgia
Arvilla Chappell Daughter F 9 Georgia
Mattie M Chappell Daughter F 7 Georgia
John H Chappell Son M 5 Georgia
Jodie L Chappell Daughter F 3 Georgia
Do you know where Dora might be buried? She is listed with TL in their marriage and this census.
Please reply through the message system at Findagrave. Thanks for all your hard work!

Thanks so much for the information. I was able to find Felix in the 1870, 1850, and 1840 census data. Were you able to get any information farther back than this on Felix or Harriett? The 1850 Census indicates Harriett was born in South Carolina and Felix was born in Georgia.
I have inquiries to the Pleasant View Baptist Church and Carrollton newspaper for church records and obituaries.

Thank you so much for posting all the listing service for the Maxwell family. My mom was a Maxwell. Her parents were Roy Lee Maxwell and Johnnie Shields Cummings. Ray's dad was John P. Maxwell. Very interesting reading!!!

Danelia - You mentioned you traced a family line back to Samuel and Sarah. I have also traced to this line but through a son they had Walter instead of a Martha. I see Sarah's mother and father listed on this site but there is no information for Samuel. I'm wondering if you ever found information on Samuel's parents. I found Samuel and Sarah in the 1880 census records but have not been able to get beyond that.
