I have been researching our roots for many years. There is something very satisfying in discovering all about my family history; and there is always more to learn! |
As well as its primary purpose being a grave registration site, FindAGrave is a wonderful way to memorialize our ancestors, and a great genealogical resource. My husband and I enjoy contributing to this website, honoring those who have gone before us, and helping others to find their long lost family.
We respect the guidelines set forth for this website.
We will be happy to add proper info and links to memorials that are sent via the EDIT tab on the memorial. We do not link to burial unknowns. We do not add (copy & paste) obituaries that are less than 70 years in the past. We will glean information from them to add to the bio section of the memorial. Please cite the source of the obituary information being sent to us. Please Do not add scanned obituaries to the photo slots on any memorials that we maintain; rather, please send a bio via the EDIT tab - suggest any other correction, that you have personally written.
Transfer requests will be made for direct family members, within 4 generations, as set by the guidelines.
Please make all SACs and transfer requests through the edit tab on the memorial itself.
All photos that we post are bound by copyright rules. Do not take any of them for your own use, neither on this website, nor anywhere else. Do not alter them for re-posting here, nor anywhere else. Thank you :)

This one will take more research. The Mennonite file card referred to for parents and birth/death dates doesn't exactly agree with other sources. The Lang/Long family history by Wm Long, for one. I'll need to spend some time researching and sorting out what is most likely to be correct. Thanks for the info. There are so many different Anna Maries and Johnnes/John in Bethel at that time with the same last names! Langs married both sides of my Bethel Twp. family: Rudy and Shaffer.
Just wanted to say thank you for all of your additions. I've been going thru many obits for the old Reading Eagle's and I've been updated info. on memorials and adding those that have no memorial. I've added you as a friend as you have many memorials that I've been sending updates to. Thanks again for your hard work!!
|Kathy (Hoy) Eltiste||Re:: Your memorial for Lewis H. Moyer|
Good Morning Carol & Pete,
I recently sent you a request asking for your assistance in fixing an error, not removing accurate data.
What I was asking of you, was to link Lewis' 2 children to my memorial for Lewis H. Moyer, #50100224, created March 23, 2010, and then remove your duplicate memorial for him, #137814820, created Oct. 26, 2014.
I also asked if before deleting your memorial, if you would be kind enough to repost your tombstone photo's onto my memorial, so your photo is not lost.
I also have spent many hours walking cemeteries and photographing 100's of tombstones, and know what effort, time and hard work it takes to post these photos. But, I love doing it, as I'm sure you do too.
I hope this clears up the matter, and Thanks for listening,
|Ronald E. F. Hoskins||A BIG THANKS!|
Thanks for transferring my great grandfather to me....(Sheller)....
Can't say I know anything about Ida Brunner. I am reading the Spring Valley sun and going through Find A Grave and editing dates and relationships as I find them of anyone from Pierce County. I did this edit after reading Mattie's mother's obituary from 1916. - Dan

Hi, I'm writing about #163913594, Kate Roemer. I found her obituary here: The Baltimore Sun,
(Baltimore, Maryland), 10 Nov 1925, Tue • Page 21, about 2/3 of the way down in the far right column.
"ROEMER -- On November 8, 1925, KATIE ROEMER (Nee Loose), beloved wife of John Roemer.
Funeral from her late home, 1258 Carroll street, on Wednesday at 7 A.M. Interment at Reading, PA."
I know from census entries that she was born in Maryland, and that her parents were both from Ireland. No other info, yet.
Thanks so much for posting these photos! I have a photo of Kate, but I can't tell if you'll post photos or not?

Carol thanks a million for taking your time and effort to go to the cemetery and take the stone photo. Much appreciated.

Thank you for noticing my error. I have deleted the photo.
Have a wonderful day!
|Christine Rathfon Hipple||Sarah E. Wentzel Kramer|
You recently approved Sarah E. Wentzel # 95139687 being added to her parents and spouse. I erroneously also requested another Sarah E. Wentzel to be added as a daughter, but this is not the correct one, so you can remove her. Sarah E. Wentzel Kramer is the correct daughter.
