born in Chicago and moved to California many years ago. Most family origins in Illinois both for me and my husband. Our roots are buried deep in Montgomery County. I am an avid genealogist - same for my oldest daughter and genealogy companion. We make yearly trips to Illinois to research family history. We've spent many an hour documenting abandoned cemeteries and will gladly take photos in local LA cemeteries.|

|Turia Clark Day||Laura Ellen Young Hiller|
You have Adolph Wilhelm Hiller's wife as Laura Ellen Lewis. Their marriage record of 1894 indicates that her name was actually Laura Young, daughter of Marcus Young and ? Kinkead. Is it possible that Laura Ellen Lewis Hiller is the wife of one of Adolf's relatives since there is nothing on her burial record indicating her husband's name was Adolf? The record you sited is a Laura Ellen Lewis Young's burial record, but there is no indication which Hiller she was married to. See below.
Laura Young, "Illinois, County Marriages, 1810-1940"

Thank you for adding the Hinckle story to Larry's Memorial. It gives us some personal insight into how Larry was KIA.

|Tammy White||Doris Nelson Graham Obit|
Doris Nelson Graham was my first cousin, twice removed (common ancestor was Robert Nelson and Camilla Wright). Her dad, Scott, was my great-grandpa Emery’s brother.
Thanks for putting the tribute to Doris on FindAGrave. Can you tell me where you got the obituary? I found one on State Journal-Register, but it was very short and did not include the info you posted. Tributes had one as well, but again does not include the detail you have. I’d like to put the obituary from Find A Grave into my genealogy program, but want to make sure I source it right.
Thanks in advance! PS – I believe she already had a headstone, is that right?
|Chloé||Thank you Carol!|
Thank you so much for the transfer of Matilda Dunlap. I'm so excited and can hardly wait to start info.
I really appreciate it!
