Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am happy to make additions/corrections, and to add links to any of the memorials that I manage. Whenever possible, please use the edit button, rather than leaving a message, when submitting any suggestions/correction or when requesting a transfer. It makes it much easier for me to find the memorial.

I will, of course, follow all Find-a-Grave guidelines regarding transfers of memorials. Out-of-guidelines transfers will be decided on a case by case basis. Keep in mind that a number of the memorials are direct ancestors or close relatives of mine as well. That said, I am generally agreeable to any transfer request as long is it is made politely and for the purpose of improving the memorial. Just let me know your relationship to the relative/friend whose memorial you are requesting. In the event that I am not able to make the transfer, I am always willing to make additions to the memorial for you.

RE: Edwin Gould
Thanks for your information. I have been trying to verify your information on my P. Edwin Gould. Per the 1880 census he and his wife Mary Burnham Gould had the following children: Edwin A., Charles Edgar, Almary Adelia, Laura, Cyrus, Ellen, Lowell and Cora. Ernest was born in 1882 and Mary was born in 1884.
However Edwin cannot be the son of John Gould & Zipporah Bass Gould of Vermont because their son Edwin Hiram Gould born in 1845 never left Vermont. He became head of household after his father died in 1878 and lived there till he died in 1926. Lynn

RE: Hi from a very distant cousin
Hey B.A., Thanks for the reply, I looked at the wonderful memorial for Theodore Lucien Hager (great photos). Ever the researcher, I checked out the connection on and found a missing son: Raymond A. Hager (1915-1978) findagrave memorial#160997110 No info on memorial, but here's what I found. b.Apr.24,1915 Walnut Ridge, Lawrence Co., Ark. d.July18,1978 Grant,Newaygo Co. Michigan. Seems to have had two wives 1) Laudis(Love)Hager (1914-1950) her death cert. can be found, google [free mo death certificates online] &2) Thelma (Burrell) Hager, who is buried in the same cemetery as Raymond. I couldn't find much else and the research was confusing as there are other Raymond A. Hagers out there. Keep in touch, Lily

Hi from a very distant cousin
Dear B.A.Smith, Noticed you manage the Barnhill memorials. Ollie Verena (Zimmer) Barnhill was the daughter of Emma Louisa (Blomeyer) Zimmer, who was my great aunt. Nice to meet you on Find-A-Grave. Blessings on Memorial Day. Lily

Kloostra memorials
Thanks for getting creative. Messages and email should be available now.
Alfred Kloostra and my Mom are siblings. Frank and Anna Kloostra are my grandparents. So I am not a direct descendant of Alfred, but rather a niece. However, we share some relatives, so let's just say yes we're related somehow.

Received many edits from you, just curious, are you related? And if so, then we are.

Send duplicate pages to

List the oldest page first with the name of the person and copy and paste things like this by giving the URL address from each page so Find A Grave can have a live link to click on:

Here is one example I'm waiting for Find A Grave to merge. It takes about 3-4 weeks to get them merged. They used to be faster, but they are working on rolling out a whole new version of Find A Grave and it's probably "all hands on deck" getting it ready. Find a Grave prefers to merge pages rather than having you delete a page because then the duplicate page will disappear but its old link will directly take you to the merged page left standing.

I sent both pages into edit because they have been in the wider genealogical system for a long time and show up on other websites. By having Find A Grave merge them, then the other links won't go dead, and others can be taken right to the one remaining page. Thanks for your sharp eye in catching this. I never saw it.
