Bio and Links
Bio Photo The descendants of the old settlers, those who cleared the land and first upturned the wild sod to the sun, should see that the doings of those early years are fittingly remembered and recorded.
It was once remarked by a great writer that those who take no interest in the deeds of their ancestors are not likely to do anything worthy to be remembered by their descendants.

Please leave flowers or memorials on my memorials, I believe everyone deserves flowers, and I have a great family. Thank you in advance.
A BIG thank you to those who send histories, death notices, obits and links to add to the memorials. They are wonderful additions.
You may use my pictures and information for your family trees but I do like credit. This is all put on findagrave for your family trees because so many people have helped me with mine. Thank you.

Please read Find A Grave's Transfer Requirements before requesting a transfer "THE FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFERRING MEMORIALS ARE: Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for a transfer BUT PLEASE do no ask for a transfer that is not within these guidelines and PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED.
Putting requests on this site you will be ignored, and erased. Ignorance is not bliss it is just embarrassing for you.

For extended family members you can add
Virtual Cemeteries as we have done.

PLEASE USE the "EDIT" TAB ON THE UPPER RIGHT SIDE OF THE MEMORIAL TO SEND CORRECTIONS AND REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS. Will gladly add any obits and will add links to family members. "

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn.

You did not know that I exist You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our heart contracts and beat a pulse Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so.I wonder if you lived and loved,I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

The Mendes Monsanto family
Hi Barbara,

Thank you for processing my edit requests for this family. I recently obtained a book written by my uncle's 1st cousin about this maternal side of his family. He, too, was born in St. Thomas, DWI. He married one of my maternal aunts and was my most favorite uncle. He saw me after I was born BEFORE my father! I guess we bonded!

I put her son"s Find A Grave #51646859 instead of her husband by mistake. I'm sure you will see it when you go to add it. I don't have her husband's burial info. Sorry for the mistake. Her parents are correct.

Louise M. (DeLuster) Van Effen
Please remove Mildred and Marjorie Van Effen as daughters of Louise. In fact, they are granddaughters, daughter of August Van Effen instead. Thank you, Ken Tyler, Oostburg WI

George R Perry
Is there any chance that the George R Perry in Madison City Cemetery, Hamilton, NY is George P (Perry) Cobb? George P's mother, Catherin Hubble Cobb, and siblings; Louisa Deborah Cobb Keith, Sarah E Cobb, and Josephine Cobb are all buried in the same cemetery.

I need to let you know that, although your information is correct, when I try to save this to it shows him having a completely different mother who was born the year before he was. I do not know how to correctly report the corrupted issue to find a grave.
