|I always enjoyed history. When we were little we always went for rides. When we would come across a historical marker Dad and Mom would stop the car and we would get out. Read the marker and talk about things that had happened at that place.|
Little did I know what a lasting impression things like this would make. Imagine my surprise when I started doing genealogy and things began to actually tie in to my families.
Little did I know of my family history with the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World Wars I and II.
I discovered that my family are really truly American. We have Indian, German, Irish, English, French, and the list goes on and on. My great great,great grandfathers fought in the Revolutionary War, my great great grandfathers fought in the Civil War on both sides,and World War I and my Father was in World War II in the Philipines. I have relatives that fought in all the wars since the Revolutionary and before.
This site gives me the chance to list them for others to discover.

I sent an e-mail to the e-mail address listed on your bio page.
|Sharon Lovell||Mattie Yocum|
The death dates for Mattie Stella Yates Keith Yocum, wife of Tommy Yocum, is 21 April 1976. Mattie was my great grandmother. They had twelve children of which two are still living.
|Sharon Lovell||Lucy Belle Yocum Coy|
I found small plaque in Eason Cemetery of a Lucy Belle Coy but the dates do not agree with what you have. I have a photo. Could there be another Lucy Belle Yocum Coy?
I also have a Semi-Weekly Interior Journal article of 21 Feb 1902 that states a 17 year old Lucy Belle Yocum married a James Coy, age 21. I believe her parents were William H. Yocum and Lucy Katherine Walls.
Is this information for the person you have here?

|dan gillman||Walls Family|
My name is Linda Gillman and I am a gr grand daughter of Cynthia Walls Murphy. Can you tell me if she is in fact a sister to Richard W. Walls? On her marriage licence to Marion Murphy his name and Sarah Walls names are listed as witnesses. I thought you may know about her since you knew Richard. Anything you can help me with would be appreciated as I know very little of her. Thank You, Linda Gillman
|Richard Wesley||Elmer Pitman|
Hello, Joyce...!! I hope you are still active on Findagrave..!!
I'm writing this message to let you know I just created the memorials for two of Elmer's children and linked them to Elmer and Mary. I just want to make sure that I linked to the correct Elmer & Mary..HA!
Also if you have additional information and links you could add to the memorials of Elmer and Mary, just use the edit tap on their memorials and request the information be added to their memorials....Usually instead of adding the information, the U.S. Veteran's Affairs will transfer the memorial to you, so you can add the data and maintain the memorials...
Are there any others to link to Elmer & Mary, besides Emery Pitman & Mary Webb?
|James Andrew Pitman||your research|
Thank you for your time and effort in this website. It has helped me piece together a few blank spots in my genealogical "research". I am heading to my Pitman family reunion on july 6th, 2008 just outside of Cincinnati. I hope to fill in even more blanks there.
Thank you again! Andrew Pitman
