Going forward, unless there is a compelling reason, I will only transfer listings of people someone knew closely, i.e. parent, child or close friend. I'm sorry, but someone who died 200 years ago could be related to thousands of people. I prefer you add one of my listings under your umbrella using the virtual cemetery feature at Find A Grave. If you have additional information, I will happily add it and list you as the contributor.

Also, please do not ask me add an obituary to a person's memorial. See Find A Grave policy below:

Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?
It is best to not copy obituary notices from newspapers to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so. In general, obituaries in newspapers are submitted by the family. If the obituary is added to the memorial record, it should list the newspaper and date the obit was printed. Find A Grave reserves the right to remove obituary notices from memorial records.
Obituaries for "famous" individuals are usually written by newspaper staff and can not be posted to Find A Grave.
Please do not include website addresses that may be listed in the obituary as they usually expire within a year after the obituary is printed.

Memorial #12622517
Dear Rich:
Thank you for memorializing my 5th G-Grandfather and Revolutionary War Patriot, Jacobus Demarest. I am a member of the DAR and Jacobus is my 2nd Patriot. Can you tell me if there is a gravestone for him that can be photographed? Or maybe other family?

Sadly, I am fearful that his is one that has deteriorated too much to be identified.
If there are other Demarest(s) or Peek/Peeck(s) I'd appreciate knowing. I live in S. Jersey and if there are readable headstones I'd be excited to make the trip up.
I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for what you do.
Sincerely,
Sharon Lippencott-Romano

Question?
Rich, How do I add Midland Township and Franklin Township to Bergen County towns? They are much larger than today's Franklin Lakes and Midland Park and frequently listed on death cert. Ree

Schneidereith
I have a website, www.germanmarylanders.org. I photograph cemeteries. Louis Schneidereith and family were very influential Baltimore printers. I was happy to see your post at Druid Ridge Cemetery. I posted photos of the headstones. However, I have been going back and forth with another Find A Grave contributor that has solid evidence that Schneidereith was buried at Woodlawn (both cemeteries are in the same area of Baltimore county). She has the memorial card and an invitation to meet at the gravesite on the 1st anniversary.

May I ask where you got the information about Schneidereith at Druid Ridge. I am 99.9% certain I was at Druid Ridge when I took the photo.

HELP!

We are visiting Setauket now from the west coast. My sister and I used this patriot blood relative as entrance to DAR/SAR. How do we find his grave at the church? It is very small and mostly newer graves. Headstones are missing and the remainders are mostly newer. Any help appreciated. We leave May 22.
