Greatly appreciate you taking the time to take the headstone photo - wonderful to have as part of my family genealogy.

Thank you so much for this picture. Helps me to get my relatives in perspective.

You're welcome, after transferring some family memorials to another contributor I remembered this family plot and thought they belonged with an interested family member as well.

I'll email you the Burgess Cemetery listing from " Talladega County, Alabama Tombstone Inscriptions of All Known Cemeteries 1700's to 1987", Vol. I, c. 1989 by Joseph and Frances Upchurch. Copies of this are in the genealogy research rooms at the Talladega and Sylacauga public libraries, and are an invaluable reference. Cemeteries are listed in alphabetical order, with a glossary index of all interments in the county by surname if the cemetery is unknown. Although I didn't create the Burgess Cemetery, nor enter the GPS coordinates for it, the Upchurch directions to it match up with the map location-in the Talladega National Forest near Garing Creek off of Union T. Road.
Appreciate your volume of work, over 1,150 volunteer photos is outstanding selfless service in the ancestry quest !

Thank you for all you do and the picture of the gravestone of Margaret M. Hendrick. This helps so much sorting out my genealogy.

Dave, I hope you don't mind but I copied your photo from Wesley E. Davis' memorial page to his wife's page.

I have noticed this cemetery in passing and yesterday turned round and went and walked there. A woman was walking her dog and I wanted to inquire of it, but had another male friend with me and was afraid to approach her for fear of scaring her.
Do you know anything of the origins of this cemetery? Was there once a church there? I saw lots of Actons but no Crofts. Right off I saw
Skip Bundy's grave. He was a coach when I was at Shades Valley High School.
