Now working on Strausbaugh family tree, including Ory family in Louisiana. NEED HELP: looking for parents of my ancestor Lucy Ann Elizabeth Strausbaugh, wife of Melchior Sachs. Married 1849 March 16 at Gettysburg at an unknown Reformed Church. Born in or near Gettsyburg, PA about 1829. NOT Lucy Ann the daughter of George Strausbaugh and Elizabeth Bittinger, that Lucy Ann married Joseph Warner and stayed in Pennsylvania instead of moving to Illinois. Anyone knowing her parents names please contact me.

Thanks for the info. I added it to Dorotha's memorial page. If you'd rather I remove your name, just let me know, no problem.
Have a great tomorrow!

Thanks Chris for sending the info. I did happen on to that line a while back but haven't really gotten in depth to see how they come in line with the Searl family. Again thanks for sending the info.

Thanks so much Chris! It sounds like you have spent hours researching and researching! I've recently retired and am trying to document our family for future generations. Thanks so much for filling me in - I know it would have taken years if I had to find it on my own! Thanks again - kind regard - Susan Pizzuto-Pennell

You're very welcome!
|Lynn Landry||John Thomas Parent|
I checked the Dioceses of Baton Rouge Catholic Church Records today and this is what I found...
1.Jean Thomas Parent son of Jean Edouard and Rose Cambre was born on 18 Sep. 1821 and baptized on 19 Mar. 1822 in St. Gabriel.
I do not have a death date because the church records that I had access to only went up to the year 1900, so he had to have passed away after 1900.
2.Thomassin of Ascension Parish son of Edouard Parent and Rose Cambre married 11 Dec 1843 a Marie Malvina LeBlanc daughter of Placide and Marcelline Landry in St. Gabriel.
3.Marie Malvina LeBlanc born on 27 Dec 1826 and baptized on 4 Feb 1827 in St. Gabriel.
4.Marie Malvina LeBlanc age 17 wife of Thomassin Parent died 25 Aug 1844 and buried 26 Aug 1844
5.Thomas Thomassin Parent widower of Marie Malvina LeBlanc marries 17 Jul 1848 Virginia Ory widow of Paul Matherene.
I hope this helps you out.
I just stopped by the site to see how things were going with my dads.grave site. I saw.that you had left a message saying rest in peace cousin. Was that a term of endearment or are we blood relatives? Just curious.
