Maiden name "Jeffries". Born in Springfield, MO. Moved away to CA & AZ 21 yrs, now I'm back where I can get my hands on local info. Graduate of Drury Univ. but my obsession is genealogy which I got started on when my children were born. If you need info or pictures from this area let me know. Glad to help, just remember my time is short so it takes me a while. |
Some of my family names - Jeffries, Hagenbook, Messick, Sartin, Watson, Cotter, Harper, Robbs, Pilkington, Pogue, Rourke, Stave, Stein - just to name a few.
Also connected to the Union Campground Association for the Union Campground Cemetery, Springfield, MO.

Cynthia - I'm going to try your email address to continue this conversation. :-)
|Greyledge Gal||RE: Josiah Mason|
Josiah was a son of the Reverend Jesse Mason and Mary (Sugg) Mason. I am related in some way to almost all of the original families that came into Greene County, Missouri. Josiah's oldest sister, Sarah (Mason) Redfearn is also buried in Squibb Cemetery with her husband Townley Redfearn. Some direct lines I have so far related to Greene County are Johns, Duncan, Mason, Wallis, Benson, Robertson, Neil/Neal, Hope and many collateral families. I have Squibbs, Cotters, and Johnsons on my family tree at Ancestry but not sure about the tie-in to Mason.

No I am not related to anybody in Marshall county,
just helping to preserve the history of Frankfort.

I thought that I had replied to your email, so I checked my drafts and there it was. It has been sent.

Thank you for the request to link William Coke Thomas 14565514 to father James Harlan Thomas memorial. He is my 3xs great grandfather. I believe that you will have to link him to his father on your end. Go into the family links and put James Thomas memorial number in the space for parent.

Are you researching this family? I am. I descend from Christopher C. and Phoebe Harter Davison that ended up in Furnas County, Nebraska. I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana, so I have seen John's gravestone in Miami County. Maybe we could compare information.

Sorry, I didn't connect him to his sons. I didn't know about his wife so there fore no connection was made.

Thanks for quick reply. It would be great to have a photo of the cemetery site, but no big deal if it can't be found. As I said, I'm only related to the Pilkinton line through a marriage, actually "a 3rd marriage". My great grandmother married Asa Moore Pilkinton. I believe they divorced, because he married again later. I do have some info on the Pilkinton line but if you would like to send me any further info, that would be great too. My great grandmother was Honor Harmon. You'll find her on Find A Grave under Honor Pilkinton. Thanks much.
