Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a long time resident of Farmers Branch (far north Dallas) and will be glad to take digital photos of any existing graves in this area. I have been a genealogist since college and love it. I am still searching for the grave of my great-grandfather William A. Lemmons / Lemons who died around 1917. He has been hard to trace with moving around often from AR to LA to TX to OK. Who knows where he died? Last child was born in Mena, AR but they may have been living in TX when he died. One aunt said he died in Willis, OK. Hmm...the hunt goes on...

RE: James Taylor
I've looked back through my Taylor info but there's no mention of a Harry Taylor. I connected with a second cousin (also named Jim Taylor) online several years ago, he had some very good info about our Taylors that he was very kind to pass on to me. They have been well documented in Bradley County, TN, and it appears that only James Madison Taylor and his mother came to OK. Story goes he got into some trouble with the law back in TN so he and his mother left. I haven't been able to place him in the 1880 US Federal Census. James Madison Taylor eventually made it to OK in the early 1880's, and then married Sarah Edna Gage in 1897 in Wapanucka, Johnston Co, OK. Not sure how he came to be buried in Beckham Co, OK, but my aunt did mention that he left Sarah Edna to raise several of their 14 children by herself (youngest was born 1925 in Hastings, Jefferson Co, OK) before his death in 1928.

RE: James Taylor
Hi there,

Thank you so much for contacting me.

My James Madison Taylor married Sarah Edna Gage 12 Aug 1897, Wapanucka, Indian Territory, Oklahoma. They are my mother's grandparents (but she only remembers Sarah Edna). This James M Taylor hails from Bradley County, TN, youngest of about 10 children. His parents were Dennis D Taylor (1810-1866) and Elizabeth Webb (1815-1894).

If you think he is part of your line, please let me know!

Take care,

You are welcome. Glad you could use it. I am trying to connection all of these families, even though I am not kin.

I run across this researching one of his sons who married into one of my lines.

I do try to at least connect family if I find them, so others can have a trail to follow in the future.

After all that is part of what find a grave is about.

RE: Barnch Howard Arterberry
Thank you for your response. I'm pretty much going by the dates on the headstone and the info in the obituary. Both of those make him 104 when he died. I haven't resolved the issue of his name tho.

Thank you very much for adding info to this memorial. I'm not related, but when I find some info I think might be useful in descendant's search, I like to add it. Thanks for all you do on FindAGrave. winnie
