Just letting all of you know that on or about 3-27-2013, I took a really hard cardiovascular hit; spent a month at local medical facility; as I become stronger, will continue with Find-A-Grave but it may take a while to do all that needs to be done; would appreciate your patience with me.

Hello Everyone!

I have a LOT of work to do! .. and "I think I can do that"! (quoting you-know-who when she was starring in a movie and was told, "All you have to do is walk into the church", or something close to that - I think it was 'walk into a church' - been awhile since I've seen it).

Sorry I've "been away" for such a long period of time! I am hoping to receive a new computer in the not-too-distant future as this one appears to be on its last 'gig-a-byte' .. it occasionally works but, most often, 'occasionally DOES NOT'; thus, the reason I've been unable to make corrections, answer e-mails, etc.

For all of you who have said prayers for me and sent messages re. my health, my sincere "Thank You" to each of you.

Thanks to my Precious Lord Jesus Christ, I am now doing well. What happened to me? I died 3-27-2013 about 15 minutes after I sat down at the computer. My daughter heard a small plastic item hit the tile floor and, thinking 'some books had fallen' called out from the living room, "Mom, are you o.k.? (X 2) and, when I didn't answer, came from the living room to check on me and found me lying in the floor very dead and, while calling 911 EMS, she immediately began the chest compressions which were continued by EMS when they arrived; I was taken to the local medical center and someone came to my daughter immediately and said, "This is grave, you need to call your family". Following what I refer to as "receiving the ice-water baptism" (I was frozen) and "having my throat cut" (ventilator) and, "sleeping" for about 12 days/nights, I awakened one afternoon about 3:00 PM, wide-awake, no pain, flat of my back "with hoses and tubes everywhere", still on the ventilator, and was immediately told by my daughter and sister what had happened to me. After about an hour, they went home (having been there 'round the clock) and the doctorS began coming in and telling me what had happened and that I was now known as the "miracle at St. Mary's", one of the doctors telling me, "We know what happened - your heart quit beating but we don't know why" and one telling me that only 1 in 5 usually survive what had happened to me ... and some people did ask me, and still do, if I saw 'a bright light' or 'went through a dark tunnel' to which I answer, "No, but, when I woke up, I felt like I had had the best night's sleep I could ever remember" (12 days/nights - no wonder I felt 'rested'!) .. and, having said all that, "I PERSONALLY know Who holds tomorrow and I know WHO holds my hand". He truly is Magnificent, Majestic - He has been, for many years, and will ALWAYS be my LORD! .. and to all my beautiful family members/friends at Find-A-Grave, please don't forget Psm. 23 and meditate on each of its phrases, .. green pastures .. still waters .. THROUGH the valley of the shadow of death (and do I fully understand that one!), etc., etc. .. and I ask Him to bless each of you every day of your lives ... Love to All of You, Della

Harrison Spence death
Hi Della,

I am writing to you concerning the tombstone for Harrison Spence on his grave. Harrison Spence the son of Alexander Spence and Melvina 'Viney' Spence died Sept 1877 according to the death records in Wayne Co. Harrison Spence -- 30 yrs Fever Parents -- Alex & Vinie Spence.

In the 1880 Census Martha Spence states that she is a widow.

I don't know who to contact about this error.

Thank you for any help.

George and Louisa Browning - McConnell Cemetery
Hi, I was recently at the John Thompson Family Cemetery in McConnell, WV, and photographed and posted the graves of George Francis Browning (1844-1930) and wife Louisa Farley Browning (1851-1927). I stumbled across their names listed in the McConnell Cemetery here on Find A Grave and this is not correct. You are more than welcome to look at their listing and photo of their headstone listed under John Thompson Family Cemetery. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thanks! Paula

Thomas Dameron Maynard
Della:

Hope all is well with your health. I am doing general research on all families in McDowell and Wyoming Co's.
I am now in the process of entering all persons buried in the Iaeger Memorial Cemetery (about 58% complete). I came to your FindAGrave memorial for Thomas Dameron Maynard. Unless you have other information, I don't believe he is buried here. His death certificate states he was buried on Dry Fork which is in the War, WV part of McDowell Co, WV. I was hoping I could locate an article of his death in my CD's of the Welch Daily News but for some reason the year 1931 is not there.Bev Walls photographed all of the headstones and grave markers in Iaeger Memorial in the 2013-2015 period, entering memorials for all those photographed. Thomas' grave is not among her postings. Of coarse he could be in an unmarked grave.
Just wanted to see if you had other information.

My web site is http://coalexchange.com/

Thank you.

Bright light
Nearly died on my 64th birthday. In Coma after 3 + weeks woke and was told by VA that if I ever left the hospital I would be the sickest person ever to walk out the door. Forced into retirement. Health problems linger. Knees, heart and most every other thing shot. Pain pills ever 6 hours and for many, many years.Have not really worked since then.

I could no longer see or hear in the real world
Was was walking thru woods and heard over myh left shoulder the in a very clear voice

Warren, Warren I am with you.

and I came back. I have seen close to the other side 4 times.

Hubert Copley
This is another of my father's siblings. He was the son of Mitchell Copley 27043612 and Martha Jane Keaton Copley 27043656. Thank you for helping me with these connections. There is one of my father's siblings that I have been unsuccessful in finding on Find a grave and his name was Nebert Copley and we called him Uncle Babe. If you have any information on him, please share and thanks again!
