I keep records for two cemeteries, the Decoria Cemetery, Blue Earth Co., MN [my home area; and the Red Oak Grove Cemetery, Cedar Co., IA [my current locale].
TRANSFERS: I am always happy to make any changes or corrections to a memorial I have created. I will make transfers [with the exception of the two above mentioned cemeteries] and only within the guidelines set up by Find A Grave.
"The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
Due to the recent increase in abuses of transfer requests, I may not transfer to you if the number of memorials that you manage is similar or greater than the number that you have contributed.
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE CHANGE REQUESTS ON THIS PAGE; USE THE EDIT FUNCTION ON THE MEMORIAL.

I am sending an edit. I don't want a transfer. You have misspelled a lady's first name. I know it's an odd spelling. It's that way in birth records and on the stone. Keep in mind, some people take over other people's memorials at their request. A friend of mine transferred my relatives to me because she is not related to them. I did not ask for them. Another lady was asking for help, because she had contributed so many that she was becoming overwhelmed by the new edit system. I took some in hopes of finding family for them. I have since found family for several of them, but my numbers managed are still much higher than my contributions.

I was wondering if you be willing to transfer this memorial over to me. I am her youngest son.
Sorry, left that last message by mistake. I am sending you an email.
|Beverly Witmer||RE: Viola Haesemeyer|
I haven't been able to find an obit for either Howard or Viola Haesemeyer

Please disregard my request to link James Vore to Ben and Eliza Vore. I now believe that to be inaccurate. Thank you.

I am a Vermont Civil War buff and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of our soldiers/sailors that had any ties to Vermont.Daniel and David Thompson are two such soldirrs. May I use the photo's you have posted on Find A Grave, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org) You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration, Deanna French
William Barrick is my 3rd Great Uncle. His Parents are 1st Cousins Andrew Barrick and Rebecca Heckman Barrick. He was 1 of 4 of some of their children who where described as dumb and deaf on the 1850 Census from Pa. He was moved to Iowa to live with this Sister after my Grandmother died. Please remove that Civil War information. I highly doubt he would of been eligible to serve. When people look at these Find A Grave memorials and they see that. Thinking that is the child of these 2 people. Automatically they will want to order a pension file worth over 100.00 and to find out the names are mixed up for someone else in that town with the same name. Different parents. We need to be more particular. Thank You.
