Joey Darnell #160639166
Dana - in researching Joey, I found that there was already a memorial built for him (#105657904) - just not with the name "Joey" identified. His full name is Joseph Atlee Darnell.

Can you move the tombstone photograph to that memorial? I really appreciate your help with this and thanks for all that you do in Find a Grave! Linda Mac

2Lt Raymond A. Runzel
2Lt Raymond A. Runzel was pilot of C-47 from the 10th Troop Carrier Squadron, 60th Troop Carrier Group. His plane (tailnumber 42-68714) was shot down in eastern Sicily during operation Husky. All four crew members died in the crash.

The men were reburied in the temporary American GELA cemetery in Sicily. The men could not be properly identified and were buried in graves H-90-1080, 1083, 1084 and 1085.

After the war their remains were repatriated and buried in the New Albany National Cemetery in grave F-264-265 as Group Burial.

I am writing a book about the GELA cemetery and hope to have it finished next year. Can I have your permission to use the picture you took of his remembrance stone, of course you will be credited.

thank you

Hi,
I see that you posted Floyd Fordham from Michigan, and I was wondering what your connection to him is (if you don't mind sharing).
He was a teacher at my junior high school.

Thanks,
CMA :)
