Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am now a ninety three year old mother, grandmother, gr-grandmother, and a gr-gr-grandmother. On my 80th birthday my grandkids were ask to share what they remember about grandma. Because I realized they didn't know much about their ancestors, I decided to write down what I remembered of the stories that were told to me as I was growing up. That lead me to contact the Sequoia Genealogical Society.

Volunteers taught me how to find more than 100 years of local family history from the Tulare City Libraries Genealogical Collection.

One volunteer, a retired school teacher taught me, fourth grade style, how to search the Internet on the computer. That year my daughter and grand children gave me a computer for Christmas, and I was off and flying and now I added Find a Grave to my activities.

I am now a self appointed family historian who has been doing research on my own extended family, and that of my friends,

Seen on another contributor's profile. I couldn't agree more.

We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.

When you visit one of my memorials please leave a flower. I appreciate it when you say what relation, if any, to a person.

Because of my age I would like to transfer some of my memorials. For many of them, I am not a direct descendant, and I prefer to transfer to direct descendants. There are a few occasions where I will make an exception. I will not make any transfers unless you leave a flower and a note.

Joel Senger
Hello Audrey! I've deleted my memorial for Joel Senger in the Franklin Grove Cemetery, and transferred my photo to your memorial. Hope this is satisfactory.

My daughter and I walked the entire field and only found 2 markers for individuals, so this is the only marker for the over 400 souls buried here. I hope this helps,

Wucher family pictures
I just had to send you a message to say how great it is that you became interested in your family history and the pictures you posted for Hugh Wucher and Victoris Wucher are wonderful. I ran across them because of their daughter, Frieda Wucher Schott who is buried at St. Mary's Cemetery here in Cape Girardeau. After I retired from teaching, I became interested in my family history. As a volunteer for find-a-grave it has been so exciting "row walking" the city cemeteries and taking pictures. My latest project is to take pictures at St. Mary's. It is one of the most beautiful cemeteries in this area. Thank you for all you have done - God bless you. Ruth Smith

Updates Made!
Thank you so much for sending me the information for Edward Hope Pounds and Minnie Chandler. I have updated their memorials with the information that you submitted.

Edward's sister, Ida Fay Pounds Chandler, was my 3rd great grandmother. Ida Fay's husband was William Lone Chandler. Would you happen to know if Minnie Chandler Pounds was related to William somehow? Or, would you know who Minnie's parents were?

I am no longer getting messages to my profile, but you are more than welcome to contact me with any further information by going to Minnie's memorial and clicking on the Edit tab. There you will find ways that will allow you to give me any further information on her that you may know.

Thank you again and may you have a wonderful day!

Mrs. Hoffman, I just read your Findagrave bio. My hat's off to you!!

You recently sent me two edits for Mary Ann (Heil) Gunster. I have not yet acted on them. While I am not a "hard-core" stickler about genealogy research for non-family members, can you tell me your source(s) for the birth and death locales you sent as edits?

Thank you, Laura Cates Duncan

RE: Ralph B Morrow
Thank you. There is a Donald Morrow buried right beside Ralph. Donald was born in 1946 and passed in 1971. It appears from Annabelle's obituary that he was their son. If he was related to you, I am happy to transfer this memorial to you.

This can't possibly be the Charles that married Melinda Higginbotham. He was born in about 1809 and this Charles was born in about 1837. The wrong family is attached to this person.
