I have been researching my family tree, off and on, for over 40 years. Find-A-Grave is such a wonderful resource!|
On my Dad's side I am researching SADLER, WELLS, WARREN, WOOTAN, EVERETT, WASH, SIMMONS.
On my Mother's side I am researching EVANS, ROBBINS, BUFFINGTON, MOORE, KORNEGAY, SHERARD, DINKINS, TRUEHEART.
My various in-laws include: WILLIAMS, MCNEELY, BANKS, RICHARDSON and DUNCAN, HOLLEMAN, BEEBE, SLOCUM; also McGEE, CORNETT.
Closest relatives are primarily in MISSISSIPPI, ALABAMA, ARKANSAS, and TEXAS. But have found relatives scattered from coast to coast.
I enjoy hearing from new "cousins" and sharing info and photos.

I happened to see your post about he P Cleveland Photo Request and that she is buried in Decatur Cemetery and not Hickory Cemetery. By chance do you have the cemetery census you referenced and if so, would you have a way of making a photo of the page and sending it to me? I am trying to get a photo of her tombstone and some other information for a DAR application.
Thank-you for any help you might be able to give me.

DEATH OF MRS. HARVEY EVANS
Mrs. W. Harvey Evans, of Evans School Community, who died suddenly at her home Wednesday afternoon, presumably from heart disease, was well and happy when the family left at two o'clock to go to the field, returning at dusk to find her lying on the floor beside her bed.
Dr. R. G. Grant, of Holly Springs, was summoned but it was too late. It was thought she had been dead several hours. Her peaceful face showed she suffered no pain in taking flight of this world.
Mrs. Evans, who was before her marriage, Miss Audrey Poe, was born near Bethlehem forty years ago. She moved here with her husband twenty-two years ago and lived here until she died. She joined the Methodist Church at an early age and was known and loved everywhere for her goodness in sickness or trouble of any kind. She was a devoted wife and mother, her family's interests being dearer to her than anything else.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon here at the Village Cemetery, Rev. Mr. Bailey of Waterford, holding services.
Surviving Mrs. Evans are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Poe of Waterford, her husband, and children, Mrs. J. B. Hankins of Bethlehem and Thomas, Agnes, Garland, Victor, James Minor and Mary Nell Evans. She leaves four brothers, Wallace Poe of Charleston, Miss., and Raymond and Bernard Poe of Memphis, and Montgomery Poe of Waterford, and two sisters, Mrs. L. T. Black of Memphis and Miss Cecil Poe of Waterford.
