Thank you in advance for visiting my sister, Sandy,|
my mother, Elsie, and my father-in-law Don Kimble
I am so grateful to everyone that leaves flowers for them.
One of my hobbies is Wheres George.com
When time permits, please leave flowers for the following:
Please remember Harriet Kimble
Please remember Cynthia Roman
Please remember Kris' brother Michael Ockenden
Grandpa Charles Shockey
Cousin Michael Driggers
Please remember 10 yr. old Wade King
This is a poem that I stumbled upon (author unknown):
Always a silent hurt,
many a silent tear,
but always a beautiful memory
of one we loved so dear.
God gave us strength to bear it,
and courage to take the blow,
but what it meant to lose you
...no one will ever know.
I was born and raised in Norfolk, VA. I've lived in FL, NY, CA, WA, and OR.
I found Find A Grave by accident. It has become one of my favorite sites to visit. It has given me a place that I can remember my mother and my sister Sandy and honor their memory right from my desk. Thank you Find A Grave.

Strangers in the Box
By Pamela A. Harazim
Come, look with me inside this drawer,
In this box I've often seen,
At the pictures, black and white,
Faces proud, still, serene.
I wish I knew the people,
These strangers in the box,
Their names and all their memories
Are lost among my socks.
I wonder what their lives were like.
How did they spend their days?
What about their special times?
I'll never know their ways.
If only someone had taken time
To tell who, what, where, when,
These faces of my heritage
Would come to life again.
Could this become the fate
Of the pictures we take today?
The faces and the memories
Someday to be tossed away?
Make time to save your pictures,
Seize the opportunity when it knocks,
Or someday you and yours could be
The strangers in the box.
"If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
There might be some of them, perhaps,
You wouldn't want to know.
But, here's another question, which
Requires another view,
If you could meet your ancestors,
Would they be proud of you?"

His name is not with his parents, Albert W and Sophia but you have his wife's name there instead; her name is Dorothy and I never learned what her maiden name was; please submit the changes.

Hi Neil, You are very welcome. I might take a stop by there again and get a photo without shadows. I go by there all the time. Happy to do this for you. Gail

Hi Neil! Are you related? I see you posted a flower on her Bertha's memorial. If so, I'd sure like to talk to you,

I believe this memorial is in error. Elizabeth Banta Campbell was not the daughter of Albert and Mary Banta and thus was not a sibling to the other Bantas listed.

Thank you so much for rembering my brother and also for inviting others to do so. This kindness means so very much to me, especially as I am planning my brothers funeral at the end of the month.
Thanks for posting the picture of the headstone of Lydia E. Lucas - it is so much appreciated!

Please be advised that you have the name turned around on your request. I took and posted a picture of his tombstone.........Kay
