Just a friendly mid June reminder that we need plot info to fill your Cleveland Calvary request(s). We have less than 500 requests left but plot info for only 6% of those, having already filled the rest with plot info. We can't ask for plot info for more than 3 requests per week. Please call (216) 641-7575 and obtain plot info. We'd really appreciate it and will fill your request(s) soon after getting plot info. Thank you!

Not trying to nag, just FYI that we've cleared over 250 requests this spring and now have 600 requests—fewer than there were in June, 2012. We'd be happy to clear your request(s) but some/all do not have plot information. Please call (216) 641-7575 and obtain plot information. We most likely already have a plot map but will let you know once we have plot info if we also need a map. Thanks!

You've put in request(s) at Calvary in Cleveland. Several of us are working to clear the more than 750 requests. With 400,000 burials and 300 acres, if you could please obtain plot information AND a plot map one of us will be more likely to be able to fill the request, as the office will only give out a little information to each person. The office phone number is (216) 641-7575. On my page I have the plot maps listed that we already have.
You can try to tell them you'll be visiting when they're closed, etc. So far everyone who's called has been successful in having a map mailed. If you get one let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address. With thousands of graves per section a plot map would be VERY helpful. Without plot information it's basically impossible.

Hi Nancy!! thank you for attempting to fill my photo request for Sgt. Goodrich. He was a Battalion brother of my step-son. Posted obit says: "St. John Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery". Is it possible there is another cemetery with a similar name close by? I'll see if I can find more info. Thank you for your help!!! Abundant blessings!!
When you go to take photos of the graves of my Great Grandparents Henry and Ethel Wittgartner, would you also look around the area to see if you find a grave for Johann Wittgaertner? This would be Henry's father and he just vanished. Death would be between 1900 and 1910.
If you find it, you will be a hero!

Dear Find a Grave Member, I just wanted to let you know that Calvary Cemetery is a huge one with at least 300,000 graves in it. It is impossible to find a grave marker their without a Section, lot, and grave number. The cemetery staff is also very reluctant to give that information to a nonfamily member. If you would like someone to find your loved ones marker it would be very helpful if you could call the cemetery at 216-641-7575 and get a plot description. Have a great day!
It appears that Frank's grave is unmarked. Using cemetery maps and 'counting' from the occasional grave that had the section/plot number engraved in the lower right hand corner, I was able to locate the general area where he is buried. I took 2 photos (different views) of the area and added it to his memorial page.
