|Jane Blake Ford Slack||Pletcher family and picture album|
Joel, I had found Jo Wright's name to contact about the Pletcher family and she referred me to you. My message to her concerned a photo album found in the Blake/Turner home on Rosemont in Oak Cliff, Dallas, TX. My great-grandfather John Philip Blake built the home in 1911/12 and there have been four owners since that time. In 1957 a Fine Arts Society purchased the home. It is now essentially a museum and event center for the Society. My daughter has volunteered to help go through their storage areas filled with old meeting minutes, scrap books, blue prints, old photos, etc. She came across a wonderful old picture album where most pictures were taken in a PA studio and some in IL. Sadly, most photos have no names. The only names in the album are Eliza with no last name and Mary E Pletcher. The main clue is an old newspaper obituary for John Wesley Adams born in PA 20 July 1823 and died 22 March 1898 in PA. Buried in Howard, Centre, PA. His wife was Sarah B Pletcher. I don't know what the Art Society will allow, but we would love to find an interested descendant of the Adams or Pletcher family to have copies of the photos or the album itself. I reached out to Jo Wright since she showed she was a descendant of Pletchers and I found an Ancestry member who had them in his tree. So far there is no direct connection for either person to whom I sent messages. I can not find the connection from Pletchers in PA to the move to Texas. I know if there was an album like this for my family, it would be a treasure! There are studio photos of each age range. If you can be of help then please let me know! Thank you!
Jane Ford Slack
You died way too young. May you rest in peace.

You have Okey's memorial in the wrong cemetery. He is actually buried at McClung Cemetery at Enon, Nicholas County, WV. NOT McClung Cemetery at Snow Hill.

I was doing photo requests in my area and have come across a problem. I found a Lydia George Diefenderfer and beside her a stone for S. Harrison, I am assuming he is her husband. But you have him listed in different cemetery. I found the stone in Tranfer Cemetery and you have him listed in Reickart Church cemetery. If you could let me know what is correct, I would be happy to post the pictures of the stones. Thank you 37457546 Solomon Harrison Diefenderfer, wife 141776777 Lydia George Diefenderfer. I see had 2 wives, I just want to post the pictures to the right cemetery. Thank you.

She is not buried in Greenwood cemetery.
I found her death cert and she is buried in Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, Pa. I added the death cert (to your memorial) so you could see the information.

Thanks for the info. Quite a rather morbid story though. LOL. Did you send pictures, because they did not come thru to my email?

I just sent you an e-mail with some questions regarding our possible lineage.
I show a daughter Margaret Alice born May 1854 who married a Price. She was the daughter of Adam and Margaret. That is all the information that I have on her.

|Kellywpa||Mike & Brubakers|
I will probably see Mike on Friday so I will be sure to tell him you said hi.
I have a lot of Brubakers in my tree so we probably are related somehow! My Brubakers probably started with the Wilts - I have a ton of them.
