|My wife and I do genealogy so we have been in a lot of libraries, cemeteries, court houses and outhouses all around the USA. At first, I started photographing only my family and friends' tombstones. It therefore became a duty to take pictures of all the markers in the cemeteries throughout Ellis county.|
Several of the names and dates which are already listed that do not yet have photos, contain many errors. After taking their tombstone pictures, I have noticed those mistakes when comparing the actual inscriptions with the information that has already been uploaded. I also see a lot of people listed more than once, which throws off the number of graves indicated.
If and when I make a mistake please e-mail me and I will gladly correct it. If the person is a relative or friend and you wish to manage the listing, I will happily relinquish ownership and transfer it over to you. We are members of the Ellis County Genealogical Society which meets the 1st Monday of Sept-Dec, 7:00 pm, at the Ellis County Woman's Building, 407 West Jefferson Street in Waxahachie, Texas. Meetings are open to anyone interested in family history. If you would like to join us the dues are $20 per calendar year. This includes a subscription to the Ellis County Genealogical Society quarterly publication, Searchers & Researchers.
Also PLEASE use the edit tabs on each memorial for all requests, messages and transfer requests.

George Washington Rackley is my great-grandfather. He and his wife Daisy Jewel Rackley are the parents of my maternal grandmother, Wanda Rackley-Cousins.

Ernie Mouser and Ralph L. Mouser was the only two sons of Delmer and Roxie May (Smith, Mouser) Jones. 104457421. There is no son by the name of Robert. Ernie was a uncle to my late husband, Wayland Mouser. Also in your bio I noticed Roxie's name is Rosie. I tried to add the link as his mother. Delmer and Roxie only had two boys, she often told me she wished she would have had ten kids, instead of just two. Vonnie and Ernie had a son named Robert. So, Robert is a grandson to Delmer and Roxie.
Just for correction. Thanks.

I have been doing some family research for my husband and came across your posting.
I believe that Mrs. Owen was born in Bedford County, Tennessee, USA as that was her fathers residence at the time of her birth. I am certain that she was not born in Texas as her father or mother never immigrated to Texas. Mrs. Owen is my husbands 3rd great-aunt. Thank you for assistance.

|Kathleen ||Ruby R RapeMemorial# 48273556|
Hello, The 4 Rape children are children of my great grandmother. I have her bible and a handwritten genealogy from her. The names and date on the other three Rape Children are correct but The little boy listed as R. R. Rape on the tombstone is listed in her personal bible pages and her personal hand written genealogy record as Ralf Reuben Rape. He may have been called "Ruby" since he was a very young child but his name in the bible is listed with the same dates as the tombstone as Ralf Reuben Rape. If I could get that changed, please, I would be very grateful. I keep seeing this child as a girl in online genealogies.
Thanks so much for all the work you folks do.
