Lee and I were both born in Nebraska and we enjoy the search for family history. Bennett, Wolverton, Train, Tracewell, Matson, Coles, Power, Bebb, Merritt, Rogers, Workman, & Matthias Miller are a few of the family names we research.|

Yes, Edwin was born in Illinois, he died in Lincoln Lancaster and is buried in Wyuka Cemetery. I have found it online. It's listed as FG, free ground, I am assuming that's like a potter's field? His daughter Elzada was born in Kansas, and then all of her children were born in Auburn, NE. Elzada married a James William O'Neal - they are buried in Glenrock Cemetery near Julian, NE. Sadly, unmarked graves and there was a fire many years ago and records were destroyed. My grandmother, Nadine ended up in Ottumwa, IA where she lived out her life, had 6 children. My Dad, Leroy Smith, was the 5th child and he was the last to pass away 5 years ago. Nadine is buried in McCormick Cemetery, Highland Center, Wapello,IA.I found George and Sophia Reals Edwin and Ira's parents are buried in Clarinda, IA. They are my 3rd Greats. janet

Hi, in my research, I am pretty sure that this could be Ira Thomas Reals. My 3rd Great Grandparents were George and Sophia Reals. There son Edwin Erastus my 2nd Great is Ira Thomas older brother. My Great Grandmother was Elzada Bertha Reals O'Neal and her daughter, my grandmother was Nadine Clarabelle O'Neal Smith. Ira gave her a Bible in 1911. In the Bible she lists Ira Thomas death on 1-9-1917 at 45 year 1 month and 4 days. This would mean he was born approx 12-5-1868. Just found a marriage certificate with him marrying a Jennie C Cole. Anyway, not sure if this is correct, but wanted to pass it along. janet

Hello, I just wanted to contact you because it appears we are both related to John Isaac Egbert and Eliza Jane Seavers. I descend down from William Henry to Fay Glendell "Linda" and I believe you descend from Frona. Is this accurate?

Good news, of a sort. I really wanted to find the exact location, and one of the employees sent me a diagram that shows the nearest marked graves to Melvin Bennett. I shouldn't have any problem finding it now. I will probably have it done by Sunday afternoon.
I realize it won't be the same as seeing a headstone, but at least it will show the place where he is buried.
Thank you for your kind words. It helps keep me going!
|B.J. Waters||I can't believe this . . .|
Both of your photo requests that I claimed in Inglewood (Sarah Sullivan and Harold Vrooman) turned out to be unmarked. That makes 3 in a row for you, and I am very disappointed. Particularly for Sarah Sullivan, as most of the graves in the plot where she is buried are marked (Acacia Slope) but whenever I go out to the location where Harold Vrooman is buried (K Plot) it seems that about half of them are unmarked.
So I will be fulfilling your requests with photos of the area, with flowers showing the exact spot.
The other request I tried to find last week (Melvin Bennett) I still have not been able to determine the exact spot. There are so many unmarked graves in the area where he is buried, and no visible navigational number plugs, that it has proved to be quite a challenge.
I am sorry this was not a more positive outcome. I am always disappointed when there isn't a marker.

Do you intend to have James Peder Christensen as a spouse of Clara? If so, do you have documentation as to why? Please advise.

I've sent you an edit to include the exact location which is D Plot, lot 2143. I am going to try to find the exact location of his grave, even if it is unmarked. It is a pretty area, with a long hedge to the west and a gentle slope going toward the east. The problem is, there are very few navigational number plugs showing in the ground for me to get every close to the spot. I've been told there must be a lot of unmarked graves in this area, which makes it more difficult, because if I knew where the nearest MARKED grave was, I could come pretty close to finding the location.
I'm going to try one more time to find it! Maybe on Saturday afternoon.

Check with the office today and they are saying that they have no record of this person. If you are sure that she is there let me know and will check with them again.
I have sent you an email with more info than you need, probably. What you have looks good. :-)

Sure. It will take me a little while to dig what I have out, but I'll check your add ons.
