I was Jimmy's best friend in Hawaii. He lived in Fort Ruger and I just off it. My dad was Coast Guard. We climbed Diamond Head on many many Sundays to sit on the pill box at the tip, listen to classical music on our battery powered radio and contemplate how bad it was to be stuck on the island.

A short story series is appearing at this site right now. It has Jimmy in it. Go to The series is called The Duke

RE: Adm. McManes
Boy, you're great. I just sent a bunch of requests through. If you decide to claim them take your time. I'm in no hurry and I know I requested a lot of them.

Thanks so muc John

RE: Adm. McManes
Thanks a lot John, I appreciate all you do. I think I have some more there, but if i'm not mistaken someone told me that you couldn't get into the cemetery. I'm glad you wrote. I can't remember the name now, but I'll send some more requests for photo's. Thanks again John.

RE: Nicholas Gassaway
I would love anything you can find on any of the gassaway's Thanks!

RE:Hello Roberta: According to the grave listing that the DAR had prepared in 1967, there are two (2) Gassaways in All Hallows Cemetery: Susannah Gassaway who died on 9/24/1740, and Capt. Thomas Gassaway, who died on 9/10/1739. I don't specifically remember seeing these graves, since I was looking for Nicholas Gassaway; but if you want a picture of these two (assuming I can locate them, and the grave markers are legible), I'll be happy to give it a try.

RE: Nicholas Gassaway
That would be great! For a large family the gassaway's seem to be very difficult to locate...I would appreciate any help you could give me!
Thanks!! :D
