Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi,
I was born in Grapeland, Houston County, Texas, parents, Walter Mayo Yates & Ora D. Clark Yates. I'm married, we have five grown children. I guess you would say I am the family genealogist for our family since 2004. Find A grave is a wonderful website. Family history is very important to me.
I hope I add something that will be of interest to others. Our family names include:Yates/Owens/
Denson/Clark/Parker/Chaffin/Williams/Steadman/Overstreet and many more.

For "PHOTOS" that I have added to my memorials, if you copy them, I would like to receive the CREDIT for them - Thanks, Martha Yates Vandver

Re: Benjamin Parker
Benjamin H.W. Parker, buried at Fort Parker, was the brother of my G-Great Grandfather, William H. Parker of Illinois. He was married twice and his 2nd wife was Lula May (Ferrell) Parker and they had a son, James (aka my great uncle June married to Cathryn (Berry) Parker and a daughter, Alice Jeanette Parker who married Lloyd Andrew Castle. They are my grandparents. They have 3 children, Beverly Jean (Castle Ingram) Parker who passed away 6/3/2001, Joan (Castle) Holmes, and Gary Castle. My mother is Joan Holmes who married Clark Holmes (adopted name). My name isBonnie Holmes and I have 1 son, age 14, Parker Garrison Holmes and he has high functioning autism. My sister is Becky Ann (Holmes) Gardner who has a 22 year old son, Jack William Craig Gardner, who is also on the autism spectrum, and a daughter, age 4, Carsyn Noelle Carter. Beverly Jean left. Rhonda 1 daughter, Kimberly Sue Ingram, and 2 sons, Andrew "Drew" Lawrence Ingram, and Gary Christopher Ingram. She had 3 grandchildren, all girls. Kim's daughter, Kristina, was tragically killed a year ago July 18, leaving behind a 10 year old daughter, 7 year old son, and 1 year old daughter. Drew had a daughter, Aimee, who has a young son on the autism spectrum and 1 son, Andrew, who is graduating high school this year.
I have limited information to the Parker family and was wondering if you had any further information and/or pictures and if I may add your pictures to our information.

Thank you,
Bonnie Holmes

RE: Samuel Thomas Yates Memorial
My pleasure! When creating online memorials, it is my hope that a relative finds them. I gladly transfer when this happens.

No documentation was sent. I have transferred them to you. This way you can add the info. and other things to the memorials.
If you have other graves in the Junction Cemetery that you would like ...........let me know. Most of my entries there are not my family.

Robert Gee puzzle
Martha, as we discussed, the picture is correct and the marker is for Robert Thomas Gee, not Robert Thompson Gee. My incorrect assumption. I am working on setting up a separate Tree for Sarah Rebecca Brooks. Thanks for your help. Linda

RE: William F. Parker
M Yates, I sent you an earlier reply, perhaps you didn't receive it. I am trying to trace a William F. Parker, Born in Illinois between 1834 and 1837. He is my ancester, I can get only so far with my research but Family History/Legend (which are sometimes wrong I know) has us related to Cynthia Ann Parker. I started following this action when I read a written account in a diary about a young lady being tired of always being asked why Cynthia Ann wanted to go back to the indians. I started With Cynthia Ann and just kept going until I turned up a William of approximately the right age. Now I am trying to connect him to my William.
Do you know anything about Benjamin Parker Jr.'s son William and his life in Illinois? If it is the right William, I can tell you what happened to him. Sherry Myers
