I'm a retired high school librarian who enjoys doing family history research. I was born in Clarksburg WV, raised in Akron OH, and for forty plus years have been living in San Antonio TX. The main family names I am researching are: Antrobius, Metz (Mentz/Menz), Howell, Hurst, Morrison, Gain (Gains/Gaines), and McWilliams. These families primarily lived in MO, PA, OH, VA, MD, and WV.|

|David Distelhorst||Photos of Hilda A Donovan's Ancestors|
Hello, I purchased a large number of photos at an auction in Columbus, Ohio. They are from St. Louis and Pittsburgh, PA for the most part. Older Cabinet cards. Only one modern black and white print with the name Hilda Donovan on the back. A copy of a World Atlas with a letter inside indicates the book was a gift to Hilda A Donovan of 2388 Apple Street, Columbus, Ohio from her employer Lazarus on the occasion of Mother's Day during WWII and her son serving away from home. I believe these photos to be her ancestors. Would you be interested?

Mr. Antrobius, I saw an e-mail on the internet regarding Meshack Hurst & Althia Hurst Marsh.
I am the 2nd great granddaughter of John Hurst b1803. I have been working on Hurst family research now for about 2 years. My grandfather was Hosea Meeshach Hurst, his father was Levi Hurst who was the son of John & Elizabeth Bandy Mitchell Hurst.
It is my understanding that Bennett Hurst was a brother to John Hurst b1803. I am trying to locate pictures of John & any of his 3 wives, (Sarah Sterns 1st wife, Nancy Maria Dawson 3rd wife), any of John's children & a picture of John & Bennett's father John Hurst.
Do you know if any anyone has pictures of any of these? I have pictures of Levi & his 2 sons & am willing to share. You can reach me email@example.com Thank you , Alice Hurst

I have information about the Howell family in Virginia before they moved to West Virginia about 1861.
Just curious if you were able to verify/obtain plot information for your other Calvary request. Would be happy to clear it if you could double check location and/or get clearer plot info. (216) 641-7575. Thanks!

Are you related to Bennett Hurst ?

You're welcome. I was unable to locate Mary Justin Schaad. I will look again, but it's not a big section and I'm doubtful that I missed it though it's possible. If you'd be able to verify that it's section 72 and obtain the plot number that would be most helpful. Thanks!

I will try. I don't have a plot map for 72 but it appears to be a smaller section on the map. I was just there this morning but will try to get back soon...

You've put in request(s) at Calvary in Cleveland. Several of us are working to clear the more than 730 requests. With 400,000 burials and 300 acres, if you could please obtain plot information AND a plot map one of us will be more likely to be able to fill the request, as the office will only give out a little information to each person. The office phone number is (216) 641-7575. On my page I have the plot maps listed that we already have.
You can try to tell them you'll be visiting when they're closed, etc. So far everyone who's called has been successful in having a map mailed. If you get one let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address. With thousands of graves per section a plot map would be VERY helpful. Without plot information it's basically impossible.
