I love history, genealogy, and photography, and have fond memories of my grandfather taking me to his favorite cemetery and telling stories of all the people he knew. But it wasn't until I was researching the history of our house(s) that I found myself trying to figure out whether previous owners had stuck around and were buried in local cemeteries. I took a photo and then another and another.

I love hearing from people all around the world who are looking for a loved one or a long lost relative.

If everyone who died in a war, declared or undeclared, was listed on FAG, there would be no more wars. I love the idea that people can be remembered, forever.

Dear Rommy,
Alec Bokanovecz # 76365335 is a duplicate and
Abraham Cintron # 101958502 is a duplicate.
The "suggest other correction" system doesn't seem to have worked on these so I am sending via messages, SORRY for the inconvenience. Thanks, Judi

Robert J Nelson moved from Ft. Sheridan
Robert John Nelson was moved from Ft. Sheridan Cemetery to Abraham Lincoln National Cem., Elwood, Will County, IL. There is not a Find A Grave memorial yet for him there so it may be easier (since he is linked to parents) if you change the cemetery on his current memorial and note in his bio he was originally interred in Fort Sheridan Cemetery. His stone no longer exists at Ft. Sheridan and the plot now has someone else in it.
Robert John Nelson # 46388432
now at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Will County, IL
plot: Section 5 Site 250A
Thanks, Judi

Thanks Rommy, I'll look into early settlers history. Good suggestion.

Briggs Thomas #53588311
Have been looking for brothers of my ancestor, Amos Thomas 1785-1881, who moved from (possibly) German Flatts NY to Wardsville area Ontario Canada around 1830... he was said to have siblings Alfred, Elias, Briggs, Ruth, Polly, possibly more. Some brothers came to Canada but later returned to the US. His obituary says that in about 1874 he met with 8 of his siblings in Illinois and the total of their ages was 780 years. His grandmother lived to be 115. Does any of this sound like Brigg's family?

Braune/Garbolet Memorials
I'm thinking these 2 memorials are one person.
Find A Grave Memorial# 95477710 (with no marker photo)
Find A Grave Memorial# 28332652 (with marker photo)

Justine Garbolet had a daughter Grace Garbolet Braune. Grace was divorced (never remarried) for many years and her and her mother lived together for many of those years, finally moving in with her daughter. I can see why she may have a marker right by her mother and other family since she was divorced. She seems to also have a memorial with her married name. The death records for Grace Braune match the cemetery marker for Grace Garbolet.
If you frequent this cemetery, is there a way to verify if Grace Braune is interred in another plot, or if she is indeed interred by her mother, Justine Garbolet and other family? Was the Grace Braune memorial created from a burial record or cemetery log? Is Grace Braune interred in the Grace Garbolet plot?

I was a ready to link Grace's daughter with her memorial but was unsure which to link her to. I will probably link to Grace Braune and link Grace to her mother, Justine pending your approval. Thank you for any assistance on this matter.

I don't know
what I'm doing! LOL I know I sent some requests for additions to several of the McHenry Co, IL Richardson folks but now I'm so hot and tired I can't think any longer.
I hope you might remember me from the forums here. I can no longer access them and fear I will lose more of the memorials I had entered as that's what happened the last time.
Anyway, that's for all you do on F.A.G.

Minnie Jensen
Can you tell me the best way to locate the headstone for Minnie Jensen, buried in Lake Forest Cemetery? The poor kid came from Denmark in 1899 to help her half-sister, my Grandmother, Anna Jensen Larsen, take care of her two kids, ages 3 and 6. Minnie had an appendicitis attack and died within days at Alice Home hospital at the age of 17, in 1903. There is a big headstone for the Larsens in the old part of the cemetery. Maybe it is over that way.
