Thank you for your pictures taken at the Moore Family Cemetery. If possible, can you advise the cemetery's coordinates and a photo of its entirety? Thank you again for your contribution!

He is my 2nd Great Uncle. Are you related?
|Jean Leach||James Lacy|
I was at East Lake Cemetery today trying to get your requested photo of James Lacy. I did not find his grave or his wife Edna. I did find what appears to be an child's grave. Sorry to say the top was broken off but I could read J.K. and Edna Lacy born Dec. 6, 1869 Died (hard to read) Ma 13, 18??. If you are interested in the photo I will be glad to send it to you.

Hi - thank for your message about Caleb Franklin GALLOPS. I see that you have submitted a suggested edit on the memorial for Ethel C. GALLOPS #116390512 to correct the link (which of course I can't do on Caleb's memorial because her memorial was linked to his). I had Caleb's memorial transferred to me but have not yet updated it because the posters often drag their feet about making the transfer, and by the time it happens I have sometimes moved on to other research and don't have the materials in front of me. Offhand, I find that the U.S. Social Security Application & Claim Index confirms that his middle name is Franklin but it does not name his parents. Since he was born after the 1940 census, do you know his parentage from personal or family knowledge, or did you find it in another record? Thanks - John
I added photos to JCM, Emma and Otis at New Hope.

Sorry for the delay in responding. No, I don't have any details about this cemetery. You might can contact the Alabama Cemetery Preservation Alliance. I believe that Kermit Dooley is their representative for Jefferson County.

Hi, do you think that maybe you added a picture of for young adult men to the wrong memorial. This memorial is to Roy H. Champion b. 1936 and d. 1937. So a baby and you have grown men in the picture. Wrong Roy? Check it out please. Thanks for all you do at Find A Grave. Bobbye Varner
The Heard County Historical Center and Museum has your best information on Heard County and it's people. They are located in the Old Jail just off of the town square in Franklin. They are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
They have published books that have the surveys of the cemeteries in Heard County.
