Past President of the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society (www.mvgenealogy.org) & author of New Copies of Old Records from Hebron CT, 1708-1875 (Heritage Books, 2011) & various articles on New England genealogy.I have transcribed Litchfield County, CT cemeteries from the Hale Collection because I'm looking for 18th Century collateral ancestors in our Birge, Fox, Hatch, Holcomb, Hindman, Hunt, Noble, Peck, Thompson, Wilcox, & Willson lines. If you are related to other families in these cemeteries, let me know & I will transfer ownership of memorials with your surnames to you so you can add information and links. I have many other Connecticut ancestors in central Connecticut cemeteries, where I will also transfer memorials unrelated to our family.Most of my Connecticut memorials are copied from the Hale Collection, which transcribed all Connecticut tombstones during the Depression. The transcription is not error-free, but Hale was able to read things then which are no longer legible today.The New Hampshire entries are all from Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of NH, by Mrs. Charles Goss (1942). None are close relations of mine, so if you want to make additions or corrections, please just request a transfer.When contacting me about a specific memorial, PLEASE do so from the Edit:Corrections & Queries tab on the memorial itself. This makes it SO much easier for me to respond quickly & accurately.|

Thank you very much for creating the memorials for my 4th great-uncle Judge Benajah Haden and his little family. Find A Grave# 85506680. I was especially surprised to see the cemetery picture. How unusual!

I am entering all the information regarding my "Godere" relatives and I see that you entered my Uncle Tom. I just submitted a request to link him to my grandparents and noticed there was no biography for him. I have that information and would like to add that - how do I do that? Do I give that to you. Also his name was Thomas Phalen Godere and his wife's last name was spelled Chalifoux. I would like him linked to my grandparents and his siblings so if you can help me do this I would greatly appreciate it.

John Robbins, working on this line, can you tell me what the marker says, unable to read?
Paula Stout, find a grave contributor.
|Christy Hollen Kestler||Mary Elmer Catlin|
On findagrave 35817388 entry for Mary Elmer Catlin I must have made a serious type-oh. Would you please correct the first line attributed to me as the FINDaGrave contributor. It should state that Mary "was NOT married to John Marshall" I am so sorry that I didn't look at this before today!
|David||Re: Elizabeth Lane(#37192523) & Thomas Rider (#7592066)|
Hi Linda, It has been brought to my attention that someone linked Elizabeth Lane(#37192523) to Thomas Rider (#7592066). However if the "married by" dates in Elizabeth's bio, and all the birth dates of their children are correct, and if the dod for Thomas is correct 1647, then he cannot be her husband. The children began to be born 2 years after his death. I think it is best to unlink them until someone can give us documented proof that some of the data needs to be changed. I am unable to do it from my end-Thanks David

Hello. I was delighted to find the listing and grave stone for my 4th great-grandfather, Jasper Wooworth, who is buried in the Old Yard Cemetery, Columbia, Tolland County, Connecticut. He died in 1811 at age 29. Statistics on the page show his death date as Aug. 15, 1811. The engraving on the grave stone shows Sep. 16, 1811. Do you know which is correct? Thank you.
