Bio and Links
Bio Photo Taphophilia: a passion for and enjoyment of cemeteries.

I have photo-documented Sts. Peter & Paul and New Mount Sinai Cemeteries in St. Louis. If you are aware of errors in any of my entries, please let me know. PLEASE USE THE "EDIT" LINKS AND PROVIDE YOUR MEMBER NUMBER (located next to your name on your member page) if requesting a transfer.

PLEASE NOTE: Because I receive a lot of email, I typically do not reply when sent an edit - just check back in a couple days and you should see it. I usually make edits within a couple days. If it has been over a week, please resend as I may not have received it.

HOWEVER, if you send me an edit that includes a question, please make sure your email address is available on your page, so I can respond.

Please don't add death certificates that are readily available on-line to memorials.

In addition to adding my family, I enter other graves. I am always happy to transfer a grave to a family member, or to update the grave as requested.

Families I am researching for my family include Mueth, Heidenfelder, Bockius, Buehler, Danneman, Frank/Franck, Freymyer, Meurer and Zieger--primarily found in the U.S. in St. Louis and Southern Illinois.

My husband's last name is Torrence. For him I am researching Torrence, Findley, Watt, Comstock, Peterson, Norton, Brown, Bieth, Sentman, Ritchie and Sixbury--from all over the Northeast.

Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to or any other website or personal webpages.

Lately I have received messages asking for additional information on a memorial I have added. I am happy to help, but if you do not provide an email address or have your messages turned off, there is no way for me to respond.

Gravestone Photo
Hello Katie,

I am writing about the photo you placed on my sister, Lucia Hallerman's memorial #47746112.
Thank you for doing that and for all your work on Find A Grave.

My Mother now shares that grave with Lucia (her 1st born child) and the stone was replaced and the memorial photo has been updated.

Requesting that you might remove your photo.

Thanks again, Margie (Margie & Jay #48596974)

Hi Katie,
I accepted your edit suggestion for John Klasek. I am curious: how did this come to your attention? Are you checking each memorial for this cemetery?

PRIMM Family @ St.Peter & Paul
Hello Katie:

My member number is 47500599. I've been trying to do some genealogy research for my husband's children. I'm back to their 4X GREAT Grandparents: Alexander (47759545) & Margaretha Simon Primm (47759553) They are both buried at St.Peter & Paul as is their son Alexander Jr (47759546). What is confusing is why his daughter, Lillian (57721322)is buried next to him, sharing the same headstone. (We may never know) Also, both his wife, Emma Hurst Primm (57721358) and daughter, Emma Primm (4759549) are buried at the same cemetery but they share the same photo. The one of daughter Emma (b. 1896, d. 1914) is also shown on wife Emma's site, the wife's B 1875, D 1911. Could you link that family group together and if you are at St.Peter & Paul again get a new pic of wife Emma's headstone. It looks like there are more Primm's at this cemetery and they are probably children/siblings. If I get further and find out more, I'll let you know. Thanks for the help. Your time is appreciated. ~~Cathy A. Valentine

Dr. William Brown
Good afternoon!
Is there anyway that Dr. William Brown at Pohick Episcopal Church in Alexandria, Virginia, could be nominated for FAMOUS Find A Grave status?
With appreciation in advance for the kind consideration,
-Dr. David Nelson (a direct descendant of Dr. Gustavus Brown.)

Physician General William Brown, MD

Thank you so much for managing this page! General Brown, MD is an important historical figure. He published the first American Pharmacopeia, which makes him a public health luminary with regard to standardized quality care for our veterans. His grave site need to be restored and the surrounding cemetery and church are in need of restoration and grandeur. I'm starting a fund raiser on Facebook called Pohick Brothers Veterans Initiative. Any suggestions on how to go about having his stone refurbished?

Peace and Joy,
