How quickly a year has gone by! So many of you have helped me along the way this past year and I have to send out Huge Thanks to all of you! There is still a lot to learn. It's been fun, very addictive, and quite an eye-opener on so many levels!!

Another year, and so many people to "THANK". Photo volunteers are just the best...

Choose Kindness

I think in the end if you can say "it was a Fun Journey" was all worth it...

RE: Toughill's in Holy Cross
Hi Mary Lou. I show Francis Aloysius at 19/1/5. Is it really 19/5/1 as you wrote? That would explain things.

Toughill at Holy Cross
Hi Mary Lou. I found my way to 19/1/5 and came across 3 small cement squares with Toughill on each one. It is a very large area that possibly could hold several relatives. But I see no inscriptions although when you pull up the name, there are inscriptions. Can you share what you know?

Kathy (St. John) Millsap
autograph book
Good Morning Mary Lou,

Sorry I'm just getting back to you about the
autograph book. I'll try to find it in all my
stuff. My computer went Kaput and I have to go
to the library to use their computer. I'll let
you know. Thanks. Kathy Millsap, contributor

RE: Silas Andrews
I regret that we couldn't get a clear picture of Silas' gravestone. I only had my hand to try to rub the stone clean for the picture. I just saw an idea to take some foil and a wet sponge and take a rubbing to get a better picture of the writing on the stone. I will try to do that next time we are out that way. The cemetery is in a very peaceful location on a hill in the midst of Amish farms surrounded on two sides by trees. Do you have pictures of his infant brother and grandparents? We saw their stones were beside Silas'? Yes, we are enjoying finding stones and photographing them for family. Especially when the stone is easily read, some are very hard or impossible.

RE: Just a Hi...
Hello Mary Lou,
It has been a while. Hope things are good with you. We are doing fine. I always enjoyed working on the Memorials with you. I keep seeing your cousin Herman "Jinx" Powers occasionally. Summer is hot and boring cause we can't explore the lost graveyards in the woods safely. Take care and stay in touch.

RE: Spicer's Oswego County
I'm not positive of where Mr. Owen's burial ground was, but I do know exactly where Cowan's Pond is, it's now called Coan Pond, my Aunt has a camp on the pond. There has long been a legend in the area of a woman's spirit haunting the pond, maybe there is some truth to it considering what I've just read in the old newspapers.

I'm gonna go and do a bit more digging and see what I can find out for you, now I'm inspired

RE: Loretta Tyler

I feel horrible about this but, while working on the site earlier today, I introduced a bug that accidentally attributed all new photo requests to me! I have since gone back and corrected the issue and adjusted the credit for the photo request, but I am not able to re-generate the email that you received. To thank the correct photographer, please click on their name under the photo and leave them a message or send them an email. Thanks and sorry for the mistake!

Robert and Lydia Hanna
They are husband and wife. I have linked them together. I have linked them to their son Robert Alexander Hanna. I added a photo of his death certificate to his memorial which shows they are his parents. Thank you so much for the information, I have added that to their memorials. Please disregard the first message which has no message.
