Are you from Northern Marion County, TN?
|Clifford Skiles||Ketner Cemetery.....|
I posted a public message for Robert Fincher on May 5, 2016 stating I live in Ketner Gap (Powells Crossroads area). The cemetery (Ketner) is in a wooded area with no signs to direct a person. I, my brother, and a Marion County policeman have plans to clean and mark the cemetery in two locations. This cemetery is only 3 blocks from my house. I posted to Find A Grave photos of the entrance and all the memorials. To see them search USA-TN-Marion County-Ketner. It states 16 burials but there is only 13.

Hello! My name is Theresa Lockhart Stockdale. I saw where you sponsored this memorial via email. When I went to the site, I saw your post "Love you dad!".
I am transferring this memorial to you to maintain now. Your father and I were 3rd cousins.
Would love to share information!

When Mary Meliah Hollaway Maxwell (Ketner) was born on December 1, 1810, in Marion, Tennessee, her father, Thomas, was 30 and her mother, Mary, was 22. She married David Ketner on March 21, 1830, in Marion, Tennessee. They had 10 children in 20 years. She died on May 17, 1888, in Marion, Tennessee, having lived a long life of 77 years, and was buried there.
I appreciate you trying to find the gravesite of Katie Quinn. If she's not there, it's sure a mystery to where she might be. They were not divorced so she should have been buried next to her husband Arthur. Thanks so much for your kindness.
Thanks Judy for the great photos.

Thank you for this picture! I still hope to visit this cemetery some day but it is so good to be able to see the tombstone pictures.

Thank you for the lovely picture of the 2nd tombstone for this man. I believe this last stone near other Adkins family members is a centotaph. ( . . . an "empty tomb" or a monument erected in honor of a person or group of people whose remains are elsewhere). This is a new happening for me.
