The four main branches of my family tree are Zastera, Holbrook, Launt, and Christensen. The bulk of my relations live or lived in Minnesota or North Dakota.

I am also researching my husband's family, whose main branches are Michels, Paplow, Bennett, and Hannawell. Most are or were from Wisconsin or Minnesota.

I'm on a mission to make sure that, as much as possible, everyone is networked with their parents and spouses on their Find A Grave memorials. I want to make families whole again.

I'm also researching the final resting places of relatives who aren't currently on FaG, so their lives can be honored.

RE: Edward Kolash
You're welcome. Very few of the graves in that part of the cemetery are marked.

May I ask you to remove the photo request?

Thank you so much for your request. This was my second trip to Maple View. It's kind of one of my favorites....the route from my house takes me through Oakes, ND my parents hometown. I spent many a day in Oakes while growing up.
You will see that I have also added pictures for Elzora's husband, Edward.
You will also see that on her Marker it says "Ella". Something tells me she wasn't ever too happy with that Elzora stuff.
Anyhow, thanks again and enjoy the pictures!!

You are very welcome and let me know if there is anything else that needs to be done on my memorials....Shirley

Melody's memorial
I would guess admins merged the older one into the newer due to a policy violation (i.e. burial "unknown", pre-need, in wrong cemetery, etc.).

Sarah Holbrook d 1767
I will accept your edit but have made a note on her memorial page:
"As a side note...the death date of 2 July 1767 was recorded in the Hale Listings and it is assumed that the bottom half of her gravestone was visible in the 1930's. The death date of 2 April 1767 is recorded in the typed record of the Barbour Collection for Pomfret but the original record has not been seen. There are mistakes in the Hale Listings and in the typed Barbour Collection so without seeing the original (written in 1767) Barbour Collection for her death, this cannot be absolutely verified."

Unless you have seen the original (written in 1767) Barbour Collection entry, I will leave this explanation.

Thank you for your kind encouragement! I thrive on being a help to others. I retired about 7 years ago and have found volunteering for this site to be a blessing.

Thank you so much for the kind words. When taking the photos, I try to do the right thing by marking the grave if it's not marked and if it is, pulling weeds and brush the grass off the stone. Just try to make it nice, if just for one moment in time. Have a relaxed Labor Day.

I deleted the duplicate and added the photo to the other memorial. She is no longer linked to her husband. Whoever manages her memorial can do that.
