Bio

I am retired but do correspondence for the Danville, IL Commercial-News. Began doing genealogy in 1966 and just can't seem to stop looking for family names.

I graduated from Hoopeston High School in 1961 and attended DACC and Eastern Illinois University, obtaining a BA in Elementary Education. It wasn't the field I intended to go into but the councilor at the time discouraged me from my chosen field which was history, saying there were no jobs in this area in that field.

I have more than made up for the councilor's advise, however, by writing about and researching history and helping others in their family searches. I really enjoy the research.

I have also co-authored three books - The Presley Family History, Laura Ida Booth (in the process of being published) and Images of America: Hoopeston.
