Back in 2002 ( walked the cemetery with pad and paper (before I got my digital camera. Possibly the crypt below or above... Using binoculars and writing at the same time - could have carried awrong name. Your photo would be proof that PETERSON is not the last name - also, with Findagrave's EDIT button, people submit stuff and I have no way of checking on it - so possibly someone else added it, too.
I'll take the name off and transfer to you.

I am transferring him to you, because in my opinion, you suggestion is inappropriate. You, of course, can post as you wish.

Understood, and thank you. Find a Grave has suggested I leave the memorial in place with the caveat that the gent is likely not there. The reasoning? Because deleting my memorial will just open it up for the next person who comes across the same information to recreate. And again. And again. So they recommended I leave mine up as it is, which lets folks know that the cemetery says he's not there.

I love your photo. I will keep it, thank you. I had to partially dig it up to take the picture and there was graffiti besides. I actually was showing how bad it was getting and how important it was to preserve the past. I photographed for over 7 years here and every other time a memorial was toppled or messed up in some way. I always went to the office to get any I found fixed. If I got there to early I had to chase off people sleeping there and having sex in one instance. I even went to a police man and he said they where trying to fence it in, then the Historical Society was trying to fence it in then nothing. Its been 7 years since then.

Susan was listed on cemetery paperwork. I am changing it with a note as I believe this to be a mistake.
