I am the son of Lawrence Stites Bernard Tilden Stites
I am so proud of My Dad and His big brother Bernard! It's not well known (my dad hid brother never knew, but I found out he won the "Bronze Star" of Valor for saving a all Black Battalion from getting smashed by the German army. He is a hero to me and a war hero to the 745th Tank Battalion! That was "ol' blood and guts" General "Patton's Tank Battalion. I would like to chat with you. My Dad Larry told me Bernard's Grand daughter is doing a study on the Stites Family. Your grandpa went into France at Normandy D-Day+2 and was a commander of a Sherman Tank and never had to have a replacement. If a track came off he would get it back on. He was very intelligent.

Hi Stacey, I am far away related from you, I did not know your grandparents. But what I do is geneology and only work mostly on the Voyles family. If you want that information please e-mail that is the site that I use for my geneology. I have your ancestors back to Jacob Voyles/Voiles/Voils who came over in the mid 1700's from Wales.
