Bio

I have been a proud member of Find A Grave since June 2000. I continue to research my family tree and love helping others when I can.

Grandparents are: (Paternal side) Fred Thomas Eads married to Elsie May Green. (Maternal side) Almon Dewey Mahan married to Doris Smith.

Both of my paternal grandparents lost their spouses in the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic. Fred was married to Agatha Swopes Eads and Elsie was married to "Doc" Holt (getting more info on him). Fred brought sons: Asa and Al to the marriage and Elsie brought sons: Arlon, Harlon and Lin to the marriage. Then Fred and Elsie had (my dad)James Walter (1924) and Charles Frederick (1925). All children were raised in Ventura County around Santa Paula and Camarillo area. All of the "Eads and Holt boys", along with their wives, have now passed.

It was once said...if you knew an Eads or Holt in Ventura County... they were related! And it was true.
