Issues with the "F" letter
Greetings! I thought you might find it helpful that in German script or in German Druckschrift the lower case "s" looks almost exactly like a lower "f". One has to really look sharply to distinguish the difference.

Hence, in what you have written here, at the Mt. Zion Mennonite cemetery south of Hagerstown, the name is not:

Magdalena "Herfche" Hoover Hershey

but it should be:

Magdalena "Hersche" Hoover Hershey.

"Hirschi" was the original German spelling of the name Hershey, as corrupted by English in America.

Many blessings,

Hi........I'm Victoria's cousin. I lost her email and address. I told her I'd send her a CD with all of the family's genealogy. I've been putting together a CD for my siblings and found your flower icon.

Thank you.

Alfred Arndt
Thank you for sponsoring Alfred Arndt's memorial. I am unrelated to him. Do you wish to maintain his memorial as well?

You asked me to explain why # 30117292 birthdate differs from GENI's online date of birth of 1831 (versus my 1786.
Just at first glance, I noticed that Geni's date of 1831 would mean 1) she'd be 53 years younger than her husband and 2) siblings born in 1780s and 3) she'd be younger than her Babcock son-in-law, etc.

Her memorial stone says she lived 85 years and died in 1866, so it appears she was really born in 1781! So that's a few arguments against 1831 and for 1786, as we BOTH were wrong! God, don't you just LOVE it! Thanks for asking!
