When searching for graves for my family genealogy I take photos of other graves which have a common surname. I find this website very helpful and I hope the photos I'm adding are useful for someone else looking for their family history.

Grave of James Girt and Esther Cassidy Girt
Hi Linda,
Thank you so much for your work. I am looking at the James Girt
and Esther Cassidy Girt tombstone and it appears that you have recorded the death date for james as Dec.5,1872. Looking with a magnifying glass at your photo on the appears that the date looks more like Dec. 5, 1878,1879, or even 1873. Is there anyway to have to confirm the actual year of his death from the site.
It is located in the Reames-Norton Cemetary Cassopolis, Cass County Michigan, USA Plot 41E

The Girts were the guardians of my Great Great Great Grandmother Julia Ann Sackett who co-incidently married Elijah Reames.
Note: I am searching for Julia's real parents and her origin thru the Girts or the Reames family. So if I can find out more about the Girts, it may leaad me to Julia Ann Sacketts origin.

Please confirm James Girts year of death or tell me how I would go about doing that. Thank you.
