RE: find someone
I am trying to determine if this is Amelia Eckert, sister of Clifford and James Eckert.
Please call me at 601-946-4384 and we can very briefly discuss the situation.

Family trying to contact you
Hi Brad,
I took a photo of your Albert Wolf's stone a while back. A man contacted me via email that Albert Wolf is his wife's great grandfather and he would like to contact you.

Here is a copy of the email:

Hello Laine,

I was hoping you could do me a favor. I saw your post on Find a Grave to Brad Wolfe regarding a picture of a tombstone of Albert Wolf. Albert Wolf is my wife’s great-grandfather and we have been to the cemetery a few times. My favor is, could you either send me his email so I can contact him or forward this email to him so he can contact me. I have had no luck locating an email address for him and would very much like to discuss his connection to Albert Wolf.

Thank you,
Alan Schlosser
Buffalo, NY

If you would like for me to forward your contact information to him. I'd be happy too, if you can send me your email address.
Alan's email is

Best of luck!!

RE: Albert Wolf
Hi Brad,
Provenance jumped in and he appeared before my eyes with very little search . It's a beautiful cemetery. If you want a few other pictures of the cemetery ( I took a few general ones, but didn't see any next to Albert that may have been family at first insight), email me direct at

Someone did a beautiful job of transfixing a "downed" tree into a cross with their chainsaw.

I said a little prayer for Albert, he's kind of in a corner by himself, next to the first cemetery road to the right . But he looks well taken care of by the locals there. I run across many graves that need caretaking, but Albert's grave is in good shape.

I wish you well in your (maybe) genealogy quest, because that's what I do too:).

Thank you!
Thank you for the headstone pictures of my relative. I live along way away (Washington State) and could not have gotten the pics myself.

RE: Woodlawn Cemetery Steens

I was so glad to get your note!

Thank you so much for all of your information.
My mom and I have been trying to find out what we can about the Presslys. We didn't know that Abner had riverboats!
My grandparents bought their house and land from Annie Pressly's estate. She was the last one to live there. I don't have the exact dates your family lived in the house, I'll look at the deed my mom has when I'm home again. I'm pretty sure they lived there about 60 years or more though.
My family has lived there since 1950-51. I know someone who remembers Miss Annie. He went to her funeral when he was a child.
It is so neat to make these connections!
Any information you have about your family, I would love to hear or see. I'll send you my contact info. in an email. I live about 1000 miles from Steens and only get home about 3 times a year, so all of my work has to be on the computer.

Take care & thanks for answering,
