Ancestors, family, neighbors, friends, hair clients (yes, I used to do hair for a living)... everyone deserves a memorial...|
I have been working on my family tree since June of 1992; it's a never ending hobby that's for sure. I'm thankful that my father's parents didn't really throw anything away. It not only helped me have furniture in my house when I first moved out on my own, but I've also managed to gather quite a bit of ancestory information from the old letters I've found. I am recently married (Feb 4 2006) to a great guy from the state of Arkansas. I tease him, saying that I had to find a husband over 250 miles from my home town so that I wouldn't be marrying a cousin. But as it turns out, I have his last name in my family tree too: Long. We are all related though, through Adam & Eve =)
My maternal grandmother's first cousin, Charles Lee "Charlie" Houser was one of 6 officers killed on January 2, 1932 which was the most officers slain in one event in the USA until "9/11" occurred.
Feel free to leave pictures or flowers on any of my memorials. But whatever you do, DON'T leave RED flowers on my Aunt Margie's memorial! She hated red
If you want to trace my line of Capps, you could start with my dad Bobby Wayne Capps and follow the family links back in time.
My husband's parents: Ray Otis Long and Kathryn DL Small Long
My husband's biological father, Charles D. Weatherford
Names I research (just to name a few):
CAPPS, CROWDER, BULLINGTON, COMSTOCK, WOLF, VAN HORN, ATKINS, ACUFF, DAVIS, HOUSER, AUGUSTINE, JOHN, JOHNSON, ALEXANDER, MARRS, CASEY, MOORE, McKELVEY, CROSSLEY, WILSON, SHULL, SMYTH, BOWMAN (OR PATTERSON), BURTRUM, GOSSETT, GIBBONS, MALAN GARNER, BLALOCK, LONG, SMALL, DILLARD, HILL, MOULDER, ELLIS, McKELVEY, LYSTER, NIPPS, HENSON, FARLEY, WYLIE...
When a memorial is transferred to you, you recieve an email stating that fact. I wish that they would also send an email stating that a particular memorial was TAKEN from you. It's very frustrating....
It would be nice if I would be given the choice of "not transferring" according to FAG's rules instead of the memorials I've created be taken from me without notice.
It's getting really frustrating that the memorials I've worked on are slowly being transferred to other individuals with massive amounts of memorials.
I have to say that the number of people who never go to the forums that I only communicate with either by messages on my profile, or in emails, are incredibly nicer than the ones who seem to only hang out at the forums.
This site feels less personal than what it orignially was.

|Perry Jacks||Smith cemetery correction|
My name is Perry Jacks and I'm part owner of the Smyth cemetery located in Happy valley. Ella Smyth was my grandmother and had a daughter named Norine Smyth who is my mother. Just thought I'd let you know.

I have transferred these to you.
Good luck with your research
|Mr. & Mrs.||RE: James F. Long|
Can you please give me the memorial # of the James F Long that you want me to transfer? If it is Jimmy in Friendship Cemetery, I do not maintain that memorial.
You are welcome. If I have other relatives of yours that you would like to manage, don't hesitate to ask for transfers.
|Mr. & Mrs.||RE: James F. Long|
No I am not related to the Longs.

I was glad to sponsor baby Matthew's memorial. And am so sorry that you can't upload a photo of his headstone for his memorial. I've gone on the forums to the report site issues and reported the problem for the Find A Grave administrators to see what's up. Unsponsored memorials are limited to five pictures - sponsored can load up as many as they like and you don't even have five. Hopefully they'll get it fixed pretty quick. Thanks and God bless.

You are welcome. I have not done anything in the Saginaw Cemetery and the only memorials that I have there have been transferred to me. I think the memorial being transferred was due to it being a duplicate memorial. I don't know that but it is what I think. Have you checked your memorials to be sure that there are no duplicates? Sometimes due to a surname being misspelled, a duplicate results. I also think memorials should be maintained by relatives whenever possible. Glad that I could help you with this situation.

I am a part of a volunteer group that moves from pioneer cemetery to pioneer cemetery in the Portland metropolitan area with the purpose of updating records, obtaining obits/death certificates, seeking photos, mapping the cemetery, looking for and researching grave sites of USA veterans with unmarked graves, etc.
We are presently working in the Clackamas Pioneer Cemetery. There are several Capps buried in this cemetery. As we work we attempt to also find relatives and update family/friends records. Often they have information we simply havenít/canít find:)
Are you related to any of the Clackamas Pioneer Cemetery CAPPS family?
