Welcome 2016!! |
As you can see I am still in Colorado (currently snowing and in the teens) and still dreaming of Oregon and its waterways, bridges, moss covered trees, and yes the rain.. I am looking forward to a possible trip back to Oregon later this year for at least a week.
I have worked with and enjoyed communicating with a number of great volunteers in both Colorado and Oregon and consider them my friends and FAG family. With that in mind this year has also brought me a few nasty volunteers that I have had to have FAG block from emailing me. Please if you are one of these move on no communication is required and leaves more time for me to help the ones that need and appreciate my help. Also, I don't believe I need help on how to load memorials – after over 50,000 memorials managed I think I have it down.
I enjoy helping people with finding and linking their families – investigating is in my blood. I also enjoy filling photo requests as you can tell by my over 2,500 currently taken. So if you need my help please let me know but please be considerate on the number asked at a time so I can help others who need my help. Also, if I tell you the grave is unmarked or the loved one was never buried at the cemetery, this was only brought to your attention after asking at least two people in the office and checking out the site myself to insure the information is accurate. I find I have a great working relationship with all the cemeteries I currently work with.
Transfers! If the name is Bolejack, Bolerjack, Pomeroy, Campbell, Deboard, Dickey, Hodges, Weddle, Francis, Barrett, Bennett, Boyde, Doyle, Braning, or Robinson – don’t bother asking. Or if I put a flower “ Family” – please don’t ask it just takes time away from what I am currently doing. With that said – I don’t believe in hording other volunteers family members. Sometimes it might take me a few days to answer but I do try and answer as quickly as possible. I also will not transfer when you have a proven history of poor updating and editing memorials skills. I believe that the loved one and their family members deserve someone that is prepared to take care of them.
Outside of FAG I am the proud grandmother of twin granddaughters and three grandsons. And if they don’t keep me busy enough I have two twin nephews and their brother that stop by to spread joy and the occasional cold.

Find A Grave Memorial# 132008858
You added a picture of his headstone and sent an edit for plot location, for which I thank you. Because I have his location as unknown, would you please tell me the name of the cemetery he is in so I can correct his memorial. Thanks.

Kind of funny that your Charles Wheeler Pierce and my Charles L (Lester) Pierce had wives and sons by the same name with same time periods? Thanks for your replies.

Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!
Thank you for looking for Karl's gravestone. I did not know that he was cremated. It was not mentioned in his wishes in his letters [or I missed it].
I am grateful for your efforts, I can tell others searching for what happened to him.
|Jeff Hall||Thank you for the photo|
Thank you for adding a headstone photo for Corp Frank Joseph Ward, much appreciated.

Thank you for your feedback on her cremation. I'll have to try to contact a descendent to see if I can find out about her ashes. Her husband was buried in Montana. Perhaps they placed them with him.
|RM||RE: name typo|
No worries! :) No, I didn't know, but I guess I'm not surprised. I recently got a newspapers.com membership and have been blown away by all the names (even names of towns!) that are spelled incorrectly. Guess spelling wasn't a priority back in the day, lol.
